The room was so clean. I was really impressed. The staff was super friendly.
The boardwalk is walking distance, just a few minutes. The shades are electric. A previous guest probably didn't read the sign because you could tell someone tried to pull it down with their hands Because one was moving slower than the restš¤¦āāļø
overall, This is a great stay and I'd come back.

Read this before you book. This place looks great and is newly renovated. BUTā¦. Paper thin walls. Not exaggerating. We couldāve joined in the neighbors conversations. Good luck having an intimate moment with your spouse. No WiFi. A āSmartā TV dumbed down with network connection disabled so you canāt use your personal hotspot either. Beds that fold like a taco; leading to achy backs in the morning. If you like coffee in the morning youāre out of luck. No coffee maker. Bring your own

So I was only staying one night. The hotel is right off the boardwalk which was great. The room it self was fine. Nothing special. The room smelled very musty. It was clean I did check the beds. I feel like the rooms should have at least a coffee maker or even a microwave.

We love our trips to OCNJ. The Impala is in a great location to the beach and boardwalk. Rooms and the premises are clean and well maintained. Some of the grounds could use some updates, but overall a nice place to spend your family vacations.

I deeply regret booking this hotel. It is absolutely not kid-friendly and fails to provide even the most basic hospitality. The room reeked of weed, making it uncomfortable from the start. Despite advertising room service every other day, we didnāt receive it even once during our 4-day stay. When we asked for toiletries, the staff refused to deliver them and made us come down to the front desk ā a clear sign of how little they care about guests. The only reason they get away with this terrible service is because of their location, which makes the whole experience feel like they are just looting guests. Easily one of the worst hotel experiences weāve ever had

Super expensive and completely outdated place to stay.
Basically it has nothing to offer other than moldy smell rooms and dirty pool.
Below motel 6 rating.

I booked this through Expedia which specifically stated it was pay at hotel and fully cancellable. I was charged anyway when i cancelled. The hotel had tons of availability that day. Expedia said it would be no problem to get a refund but after 4 days of trying the hotel didnāt even have the courtesy to respond to them. When i reached out directly same issue. Donāt book here it is false advertising and horrendous customer service

Stayed for few days last week and had a great time. The room was very dated but clean. We have stayed there many times over the years and always had a great experience, however this time was different. Days after checking out I noticed a $108 unauthorized charge. I contacted Impala to inquire and was advised the housekeeping manager reported we stole 6 pillows. This was laughable as we always bring our our pillows to any hotel we stay atā¦..and who would steal 1 pillow much less 6?! The manager agreed to consult the housekeeping manager again who still claimed the pillows were not there when we left, but agreed to refund us the charge. Sadly I will never stay there again! I suggest you taking a picture or video before you check out to cover yourself as itās your word against theirs. What a total disappointing experience and a lost longtime customer for Impala

This was my first time staying here, although my girlfriend has stayed multiple times before. About a week prior to my visit, I called the hotel and spoke with the manager regarding a special requestāhe was incredibly friendly and accommodating. When we arrived, the front desk staff was just as welcoming and helpful. I had a few additional requests during our stay, and each time, they made me feel like a priority. Iāll definitely be returning.

Had a pretty weird stay at Impala Island Inn. My wife and I check in and are given keys. We lug our bags up the stairs, open the door and a family is already in our room. Awkward for all involved. We go back down and find out we were given keys to the Impala Island SUITES across the street which is very new and looks great. We have the same room number at Impala Island INN which is probably over 60 years old and looks it. The photos of both properties seem to be conflated online so be aware of what you're buying. Our room had dilapidated walls, hot water that would cut out in the middle of your shower, a broken toilet, a bathroom light that worked about 60% of the time, and a roller coaster about 100 feet away outside the window where we'd hear screaming children every 40 seconds or so (we deliberately avoided a poolside room because we didn't want to hear screaming children). All of this for nearly $300 a night.
