The purchase and installation of my carpeting took so long that I no longer cared what was going on and just wanted these people out of my life. After spending hours in the showroom picking out product and being advised as to which product would work best in my older home, and after being assured that the installers were experts in their field and could definitely handle the nature of this particular job,I purchased the carpet and was never notified of its arrival to the shop. I needed to initiate the installation process, which then took four days to complete due to the less than satisfactory initial installation. The guys in the shop don’t communicate with the guys doing the work and although someone came out to investigate needed remediation and offer a complete reinstallation of the carpet, the installers were not having it. Pushy, rude and anxious they were not going to be paid, the installers suffered as much stress as I did as the consumer. Gaslighting, attempts to bully the consumer, and four long days of interruption including haggling with someone who had some authority in the shop to be compensated for the mess…what a completely uncomfortable experience. I take total responsibility for choosing to purchase my carpet at Carpet Depot in Ocean- it was a stupid and costly move, landing me with inferior installation, jagged edges, bubbles under the carpet, misaligned pattern, and the obvious future need to go through this process all over again in the near future. Shame on me.

They did a beautiful job but unfortunately there was one small gap between the carpet and flooring that should have been resolved. I paid my balance in good faith after explaining the issue and was under the impression it would be handled the next day but when no one contacted me I contacted them and found they had no intention of finishing the job.

I had the pleasure of dealing with the owner, Bob, when I shopped for a new hardwood floor last week. The installer, Leo, did a fabulous job in ripping out 2 existing floors in 2 rooms and installing floor moulding, reinstalling cabinet trim and installing wood floors, on Saturday. Beautiful job!! Want to share my experience with Carpet Depot. I was looking to replace carpet in what is now going to be a spare guest room but was on a budget being I needed to buy a bed & furnish the room as well. I wanted a beautiful light silver gray middle grade carpet. I thought Home Depot & the other warehouse stores would be less but they were over $1000. I didn't want to spend that much. My sister-in-law took me to Carpet Depot for the first time. After telling the salesman, what I was looking for we searched but either the color wasn't what I wanted or they just didn't have it in my price range. I thanked them but before I was ready to walk out the owner or manager who was there as well did not give up. He actually took the time & went out of his way to keep searching & he actually found a carpet the color I wanted & very close to my price range. Not many people do that.They just let you go out the door. That showed me he cared about his customers & his business which means alot.They came to measure the next day& gave me an install date. They arrived within the 2 hour window they said they'd come. The 2 two installers were very polite, courteous, friendly & wonderful to talk to. They did the job so quickly & efficiently w/no mess.I am very pleased w/the quality of the rug, them delivering what they promised & my whole experience w/ them. I was traveling on rt.35 south, looking for a carpet store. I stopped in to a competitor of the depot, then, on the way back, traveling north on rt.35, I stopped into Carpet depot, swearing to myself that I would never buy from elsewhere, but the Carpet Depo! 5 stars in every direction , every level. Picture, at a competitor, you walk in, you have a sales manager sitting at a desk, listening to all conversations, for a sale, or a conversation leading to what may be a sale, experiencing that all the sales people are under pressure and they act as such, almost a forced sales pitch, Then, go to the depot, and seeing a family run business, where you are Actually treated like one of their family members. Un- forced, no pressure, you create your own path there, while the 2 owners at the depot are there to answer all questions, guide you around the store, and explain to you all about the carpeting which you seek, give you options, comparisons of quality, while making your visit at the depo, extremely satisfying, while dealing with two real gentlemen! You are dealing with 2 experts, so, do not hesitate to fulfill your carpeting needs with/ at the Carpet Depo, you will thank yourself, the 2 owners, and ME! I strongly recommend that you go ! Great experience purchasing, but horrible installation. As a real estate investor, I’ve installed carpets in almost 100 rooms over the years. I had Carpet Depot install high-quality carpet in the bedrooms of my own home and the carpet is starting to roll everywhere within the first 18 months. I called carpet Depot and they would not help because it was past a year. I was surprised given the year was during the pandemic when everything was closed. I will not be installing with them again. I have to now call someone to pull all the carpet in the house and have it re-installed properly
