I want to update my experience. I am so pleased with how they handled this. They took the proper steps to make sure it wouldn’t happen again. All around impeccable resolution.

My parents got me a cake for my birthday. We cut into it and there was mold. I called them to let them know what happened and they said that they wouldn’t be able to do a refund today since there was no manager on and to come back tomorrow and get it fixed. I wanted the cake for my birthday with the family today and I work the rest of the week so I don’t have the time to come in and hopefully be there when the manager is there. Very inconvenient and very disappointed in ShopRite.

Ever since owners have switched over shoprite hasn’t been the same. Doesn’t seem to be well taken care of especially when it comes to expiration dates. I have food sensitivities so for example yogurt I eat dairy free. This past Saturday I went food shopping with my husband and I got some yogurts. Some new ones to try. I usually always look at expiration dates because a lot of the time items on the shelves here are either expired or expiring in a few days. Well I made the mistake of not checking the date of my yogurts the Cocojune Vanilla chamomile yogurt and I open it just now for my lunch and it smelled funny. I look at the date and it expired 4/15/25!!!! How is no one checking dates on anything?!?! You go to the store and expect the food you are buying to be good. Not rotten. It’s a shame to always have to check the dates on everything. Very disappointing especially because these yogurts aren’t cheap. 7/26 UPDATE more expired food! This time from 2024! No way should I have to check every single item I buy from shoprite. Literally unacceptable!

Want to shout out Amanda the Bakery Manager for always going above and beyond for customers. She is such a talented and kind person. Always bailing me out on late birthday accommodations for cakes and cupcakes. Highly recommend

If I could have gave a zero I would!!! Expired groceries from 2024 on the shelves. Instead of employees just standing around try making sure your not selling out dated products. It was brought to the managers attention and seemed not to care. They have time cause God knows you check out your own stuff. Watch the fruit section there is mold growing on fruit and vegetables apparently the morning manager should be a cart boy!!!!!!

We shopped at Waretown this evening. The produce was picked over. There were literally 2 peaches sitting in an empty bin. This store is very dirty. The deli is always out of things. I need to find quality produce somewhere else. This store is not cutting it.

Best Shoprite in the area. Crowds aren't bad most times. Large selection. Good prices. Everything is fresh. Staff and management are super friendly.

Loved this shop rite in Waretown, best customer service, Donna is the best in self checkout very friendly, very helpful and always smiling. This shoprite is my favorite supermarket to shop!!

Customer service is rude and condicending... when asked for help to to make change, I was given an attitude told no, and that I should have gone to the bank earlier in the day. (Saturday)... then went to acme and they were happy to do it for me...
Also many times that I have been to this store i find out that my food is moldy, whether it be produce, pork roll, or even bread.
This store is only good for when you live 2 minutes down the road and don't have the time to drive further.

Manahawkin shoprite has a much bigger & better selection. Not even close. Try to avoid.

You have to be very careful shopping at this store, especially the prepared meals. Check the dates ,because some things are outdated. It has happened to us three times too many. Not everyone brings their reading glassws. Yes we are done getting them.
