Amboy Bank at 3131 U.S. Route 9 and Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, NJ. 08857.⬛ 2020 Nov. 24 Tuesday - Rating upgraded to 5 stars ? ? ? ? ? Very nice. NO issues today.⬛ 2020 Nov.08 and Nov.05. Downgraded to 4-stars. I have had at least one bad experience at this branch. Some weeks ago, I was given hard time while trying to make a check deposit. Two employees wasted my time by making me wait but the check deposit was refused anyway. Very put off by this experience. Not from the area but stopped at bank ATM to withdraw money, once money in hand went into the bank, 3 staff and no customers. I asked if they could break two 20's, the teller asked if I had an account which I did not and she replied they only provide service to people with accounts, she confirmed with other teller. I asked third person at desk and she said bank policy that they only assist account customers. Very bad PR when you have 3 people doing nothing and won't provide a simple service. Definitely would never bank or deal with any organization that would handle a simple request in such a manner. Very disappointing experience.
