November 2023 by The Care Driver
I was having trouble with my tires. I wasn't sure what the problem was but my car was not driving straight after I had had some work done at another shop. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff, as they knew how to fix the problem and my car is now driving straight. I will be going back to this store for all my car needs in the future.

Went for an oil change and Kylie called saying they need to jump my car to start it bc my battery is dead. (1st red flag) I found it quite strange bc I haven’t had any issues starting it myself. Then She quoted me $350ish (2nd red flag). I decided to not accept the offer and she insisted my car needed a jump. (3rd red flag) I picked up my car and took it straight to pep boys across the street. The young man tested my battery and it’s all good. He gave me a new replacement part for under $5 and I was all set… I called Kylie back for an explanation as to why my car got worse at the shop? Then she hung up on me. (4th red flag)Overall, this place is a joke trying to get commission off selling batteries. Go somewhere else and save yourself the headache…mind you I dropped my car off at 9:15 and didn’t get it back until the afternoon…

Conveniently located for a quick oil change which is a plus but oil change definitely took over an hour not 30 minutes as promised. Went in for an oil change and came out with a damaged splash shield underneath my car. Is this because services that were pushed my way that weren’t necessary were denied? What a shame

I went there this morning because I found a screw in my tire. Not only were they very accommodating with an appointment, They removed the screw from my tire, Letting me know that the screw was small enough that it didn't do any damage and didn't need to be patched or replaced, but they also didn't charge me at all! They were friendly, fast, courteous and honest. I will definitely be returning to them when I need to replace all of my tires!!!!

Recently went in for a tire rotation. Unfortunately I don't recall the gentleman's name who greeted me but he was professional, courteous and very friendly. Also honest!Assured me a service I selected was not necessary and credited the service back to me. Highly recommend!

They did a mistake by putting Synthetic blend oil instead of full synthetic oil in my car (for Honda CR-V always the recommendation is for full synthetic oil). Upon asking, the front desk person lied saying that that's the same oil they put last time. I brought the last receipt and showed them that they lied about the last oil change and they still didn't accepted their mistake and wanted me to accept their mistake and leave. They didn't even honored a replacement oil or refund or any compensation. They charged me for full synthetic oil and put the blend oil in my car. Have been their customer since years almost 4 to 5 years and still they do this to loyal customers.

Jan was wonderful. He took the time to explain the situtation with the lug nuts on the tire and made sure that every question was answered. Mr. Tire in Old Bridge is fortunate to have a worker like Jan. Truly professional.

These guys are great. I came in with a mail in my tire one morning and Dave was able to plug the tire. Later that day I was on my way home from work when I got a mail in another tire. Good thing Mr Tire was still open. I was able to get that tired plugged as well. Dave was great and didn’t charge me which was really nice. Great place to go for car needs! Would highly recommend.

I recently purchased a new car that came with summer/performance tires that I wanted to replace with all season tires. I ordered the tires from Tirerack and had them shipped to Mr Tire. The tires being removed were also brand new which I am planning on selling. The general install was fine. However, the bay where they replaced the tires was filthy. Apparently they also do oil changes because there was a puddle of oil (maybe as much as a quart of spilled oil on the floor). They drove my car over the oil puddle, getting oil all over the tires that were being removed. Now if these tires were being discarded who cares, but they were to be sold. Effectively I had to spend 20 - 30 minutes wiping the oil off the tires. It is oil so it is impossible to get all the oil out from between the treads. It may also adversely affect my ability to sell these tires. Also, the tech that was changing the tires was down on his hands and knees over the puddle of oil. I made sure he did not get back into the car to take it out of the bay. I would NOT recommend them. You can find many other better alternatives than Mr. Tire.

I have been getting my vehicles repaired and serviced here for a few years. Recently however, the ace mechanics that were employed here have left. They hire service writers that have completely no idea what they are talking about. I was told (Tony, I believe) that my daughters 2014 Jeep Wrangler possibly needed an ECM (electronic control module) I was shocked for a multitude of different reasons. Especially since no diagnostic work was performed to rule out a number of other different possibilities. After stating to him the ECM was $1,000 to $1,500 his response was I could sell the Jeep. I hope management reads this because they need to seriously consider hiring people that can speak intelligently to customers because you never know when you're going to run into one that knows what he is talking about. I had the vehicle towed here and had it towed to another business the next day. Just as I told both Tony and Dave ( the other service tech who likes to try and rip people off) it was a bad injector. I asked them to also do a tune up and an oil change as well. Picked up the vehicle the same day and tipped the mechanic $50 for doing exceptional work and not trying to rip me off. There was another instance but I'm tired of writing. I think you get the idea.Incompetent fools!! I wouldn't let them fix my kids wagon. You were warned people......Lou Wodash

I was delighted with my visit. I was a drivein to the place, just looking for an oil change and tire rotation. The work was done within an hour. Fast service!
