Disappointed with Walmart Bakery – Canceled Our Cake Order Without Notice
I’m extremely disappointed with Walmart’s bakery service. We placed a cake order a month in advance for a special event and even visited the store a week before to confirm everything. Despite this, when we arrived to pick up the cake just minutes before the event, we were shocked to find out that our order had been canceled—without any notification from Walmart.
This last-minute surprise caused unnecessary stress and left us scrambling for an alternative. It’s unacceptable for a company to cancel an order without informing the customer, especially for something as important as a pre-planned event. Poor communication and lack of accountability ruined what should have been a seamless experience.
I wouldn’t trust Walmart’s bakery for any important occasion. If you need a cake for a special event, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere.

I went in to order a cake for our gender reveal party. I was disappointed because I wanted the heart-shaped cake that was on their website and viral on tiktok but was told it was only available for February. I am the mom of the baby so I did not want to see the results and really appreciated Tara being very discreet on opening the results and helping me put in my order. However, the issue was when I went to go pick up the cake an hour before our party, my husband and I specifically asked the worker to hide any indications of blue or pink on the box as we wanted to be surprised. We thought she understood, however, when she brought the cake out, it had “blue icing” printed all over the sticker on the outside (and inside) of the box. My husband saw the color and was automatically disappointed. It ruined the surprise we have been waiting 3+ weeks to find out in front of family and friends, instead, we found out in the middle of a Walmart. And for all the “blue icing” written over the box, the blue layer was so thin that guests, and even us, had a hard time seeing the color inside. I’m giving 3 stars because the cake itself was only $20ish and really delicious and pretty. Note to self: if it’s a cake for a small birthday or party, get it. If it’s for a special moment or event, don’t.

Everyone at Walmart has always been helpful and friendly. However, the older women who work at the self checkout, is very, very rude. She skips her friends in front of customers who are waiting on line for the self checkout.

This Walmart location operates efficiently, providing customers with the necessary items, clearly indicating savings opportunities, and offering a hassle-free checkout experience. The store is well-organized and staffed appropriately.
On a separate note, for enthusiasts of trading card games, the store’s highly sought-after trading card games are located near the heavily monitored self-checkout area. However, I must deduct one star due to the absence of purchasing limits for these items and the lack of attention from both staff and customer service representatives. Some individuals exhibit a disregard for these matters, leading to backdoor deals between the distributor and certain individuals behind Walmart’s operations. This information should be considered at your discretion.

You'll find what you need here. They are really good helping you check out with the app and Walmart+ membership and the "One" card etc which I appreciate so much because it saves you money and all adds up when you really use all the perks of the membership. The employees are always nice and friendly and helpful, but hey it's a Walmart so everything is already organized and easy to find.
