Why is tteokbokki like this today? Does it feel like frozen rice cake sold at the supermarket rather than wheat rice cake?? It doesn't even defrost properly, so I can't even describe the feeling of chewing on rice cake... It's a bit like thatYou can easily make this kind of tteokbokki at home, but it takes an hour round trip through the rain… Ha~ indeed..

Parking: They have a small parking lot for customers. If that is filled then there is street parking.Atmosphere: Good place to go with a group of friends to talk/chill and to enjoy good food.Service: Employees are nice. We were seated immediately. The wait for the food after ordering is reasonable.Food: I love this place. Their pork set is really good! The pork katsu is nicely breaded and cooked. Additionally, love the fact that they have different spice levels to cater to a larger audience. I love spicy food and highly recommend “spicy guru” for all fellow spice lovers. The prices were fair last I went and you will definitely get full off of one order. I wish there was a location closer to me.Verdict: Highly recommend

Abiko Curry nails it with amazing meals. My friend had the pork set and I had the vegetable curry rice with crispy fried chicken. Both were impeccable dishes - flavorful, hearty, and perfectly cooked. The fried pork cutlet and my fried chicken were delightfully crispy without any greasiness.A healthy side of rice sat atop the beautiful pool of curry and pickles on the side were a great complement. The cool decor, featuring a wall of toy figurines, added to the fun vibe.Overall, it's a fantastic spot for delicious food in a great setting. Highly recommend a visit! I’ll keep coming back!!

The flavors were very authentic like the one in Korea. The curry sauce was so good so I would recommend picking up one and trying it. If you have a decent size group, I would recommend getting a huge Tteokbokki bowl and share. There is 4 levels of spiciness, if you are up for it try level 4!

Tried the modeum yupgi topokki level 2 spiciness. It was good and has a smoky, sweet and spicy flavor. It's a bit expensive compared to the portion size. I had to wait a while when picking up the food.

One of my favorite places to go to for comfort food!Vegetarian options: They can customize and remove the meats from the dishes since it’s not pre made.Parking: It has about 7/8 car parking spaces depending on how people park here.

I visited this restaurant with the hope of enjoying a comforting meal of Japanese curry, but left feeling utterly disrespected. The food, while passable, was nothing remarkable. However, it was the service that truly marred the experience. The staff was not only inattentive but outright rude, exuding an unwelcoming attitude throughout our meal. Despite feeling uncomfortable, I left a 10% tip, adhering to customary norms. Astonishingly, as I exited, staff had the audacity to chase me down, demanding a higher tip. Such behavior is unacceptable and completely tarnished my dining experience. I cannot recommend this establishment until they dramatically improve their customer service.

Went to Abiko craving some good comfort food. Ordered a rice bowl with fried chicken and a rose ttokboki with ramen noodles. The later dish was so rich and creamy. We were so full we barely ate the second dish. We wrapped it up to go. Definitely worth ordering again in the future. Just be careful. Their lowest spice level is still spicy! Be prepared!Parking: There is a tiny lot adjacent to the building but there is also street parking that is metered.

One of my favorite places to stop at whenever we’re in the area. If you’re craving Korean katsu and curry, or if you’ve never tried it and want to give it a go, this is the place! There are about 4-6 parking spots in its small lot. There is also street parking available, but it may be metered; we are always able to get a lot spot so can’t say for sure about street parking.Plenty of seating inside the restaurant. We are always seated immediately, no reservation needed. Fast and friendly service. Food comes out quickly every time.Lots of different things on the menu to choose from. Curry rice, noodles, pasta, donburi, and a few more. I believe they also have a lunch special on weekdays.I recommend trying the curry rice. You can choose a protein (or no protein if you prefer), different spiciness levels from Mild - Spicy Guru (super spicy). You can also add additional toppings at a small surcharge. Green onion and garlic flake toppings are free/included with curry rice. It is also served with a small side of miso soup.I always get Pork Curry Rice (Mild). I can’t tolerate eating spicy foods and I think Mild is not spicy at all, so don’t be intimidated by the wording if you’re the same.Overall, I highly recommend trying out Abiko Curry in NJ. Same delicious taste as its New York counterpart, but way less traffic to deal with! Dishes are always cooked well and taste amazing. Their pork curry rice is always a hit!Parking: About 4 parking spots in the back lot behind the restaurant and 2 parallel spots right next to the building. Street parking is also available but I’m not sure if it’s metered.

Always a lovely place to stop by for some tasty curry. A decent variety of sides to choose from, all delicious in their own ways; combined with the curry that they serve will never fail to satisfy my cravings for a cozy and comforting meal.

The curry house comes with a parking lot in the back. It's nice inside, but they kept all the unnecessary stuff in the dining area. Things are getting old here. Services were good. The curry was delicious here and we always added chicken cutlets to our order. Level 3 spicy level is super hot already, be alerted!Vegetarian options: You can make it vegetarian friendly

I’m extremely disappoint and will never come here again.Confusing menu. “Pork curry rice” listed on the menu means plain rice with a side of curry sauce. That was $18.If you wanted the typical curry rice with pork katsu, that’s an additional $8 so it’s $27 for a curry rice with pork katsu. We asked if we can change our order, instead of trying to make the customer satisfied, a straight up “no you can’t” is what we got.Go to SAZANAMI curry house in Fort Lee, food tastes way better, and with $18 you get generous portion of curry rice with pork Katsu, PLUS pickled coleslaw PLUS miso soup. Unfortunately it was closed today and we had to resort to Abiko Curry. So disappointment.

The food never fails to put a smile on my face. The curry platters are rich in flavor, and you can customize them to your liking. If you like spicy, this is the place for you to test yourself, and if you don't, you can of course, get a platter with little to no spice. You will leave full and can walk to the cafes nearby to grab dessert.Parking: They have a parking lot but fills up quick

[Takeout Review]Love going to Abiko, but their prices have gone up significantly over the years. Their service is always fairly quick and the staff is always friendly. I have been to both locations in the area and have found their food to be consistent as well. I really love the simple curry, rice, and chicken or pork cutlet - always my go to at Abiko. Their restaurants are very simple and casual, easy to go with friends.
