About Bergen County Zoo
Bergen County Zoo is a charming and affordable small zoo located within a large park, making it a great place for visitors of all ages. The zoo features a variety of animals, including mountain lions, llamas, pigs, goats, horses, sheep, donkeys, and more. Visitors can enjoy attractions like a carousel and a train that circles the zoo, both of which are popular with children. The zoo is stroller-friendly and has clean restrooms, providing a comfortable experience for families. While some animals are housed inside or off exhibit, especially during different seasons, many visitors still find the zoo enjoyable. Art displays are present throughout the grounds, adding a nice touch. Visitors have noted that parking is easy to find, and the zoo tends to be less crowded at certain times. Some reviews mention that exhibits can be vague about animal habitats or temporarily closed for remodeling or seasonal reasons, which can be frustrating. Nonetheless, most agree that the zoo is a good, simple place to spend a few hours, especially with affordable ticket prices and discounts for local residents. Overall, Bergen County Zoo offers a pleasant, family-friendly experience with opportunities for fun and learning.

It was good. Since I went in fall, some of the animals were not for exhibition and housed inside. The admission was free. The restroom was clean and the whole zoo was stroller friendly.

Surprised by how excellent the zoo was even during off season (some of the animals were not in their habitats). Lots of great art everywhere - and a train you can take that circles the zoo (paid). Staff were all super friendly.
