MAKE SURE TO READ THIS!!!!
I was very hesitate on booking with Budget when I went on a business trip over the weekend due to the horrible reviews. So I decided to not book and went to the front desk when I arrived. Unfortunately they didn’t have any cars so I ended up booking with hertz. But it doesn’t end there.
For my flight back home, it ended up getting canceled, leaving me stranded at the airport. I was able to find a flight back home from Charlotte so I ended up booking the flight and went quickly to the rental desk. I went straight to the Budget desk because I know they have the lowest rates and I spoke to Austin. I asked him if he had any cars that I can take to the Charlotte airport and he said they had many. He allowed me to book online to get a better rate and even upgraded me at no cost from a coupe to a suv. I was able to get to Charlotte within 70 minutes and to my surprise I was only charged for the hourly rate, instead of the daily rate, a significantly lower cost.
All the negative reviews are due to no cars or no one at the front desk. The airport just moved all the rental agencies to one central location and all of the agencies have a lot more cars. So hopefully those issues have been resolved.
Also word of advice, don’t use a third party company to book your rental. Just book it straight online on the agency’s website. It’s the lowest price and will ensure you will get a car.

I had the BEST Experience at
Avis/Budge car rental on Rte 17N in Paramus NJ. They handled my unique situation with pure professionalism!
Unfortunately, I was involved in a car accident and needed a car - the staff at Avis were so understanding, friendly and efficient. The car I received was spotless, comfortable, and in perfect condition. Pick up and drop off were quick and hassle free, which made the whole experience even less stressful for me. Thank you you too, Lenny and his awesome staff I truely appreciate it! And I will definitely choose this Paramus NJ (Rte 17N) location for future rentals and recommend to my family and friends! A+++++++++ Thank you!! 😊

After renting from this location a SUV to drive to Maine to haul stuff for my daughter's wedding and being more than happy with the staff and actual vehicle. I want to truly thank them for their help and patience.
Today had a situation prior to my returning my vehicle to no problem with the car or Budget staff.
Lenny was very helpful in helping in resolving the situation.
Would like to thank the staff for all they did and applaud them on their professionalism.

Omg so so so amazing and so wonderful to deal with. I’ve used them two times now and will only ever go back to them! Such a pleasure and even went out of their way to check and see if I left glasses in the car which, of course I did!!! They held them safely for me and were so truly wonderful. I cannot thank them enough.! I’ll be back Renting from them next month when I need to drive down to my daughter’s school again!!!

Awful service...took his sweet time serving me..then tells me my cards don't match..would not take debit card..could nit care how I was getting back..then tells me that they might nit have the car ready..because of booking time..
Will never use budget or axis or this dump..this owner is a nasty person

We got the car we wanted and at a better price than other locations in the area. Service was extraordinarily helpful. We would rent from Lenny again in a heartbeat.

I called prior to me booking due to guarantee I can use my debit card and also because I needed to head out 8Am. The man said they needed to change the booking time’s available on the website , that I wouldn’t have a car at the time and I need to come in closer to 10Am. I get there 9:40 and the man present tells me if I am running late to call. I explained that’s not what I was told. He then proceeds to tell me he can’t use my Visa Debit , but I called and asked if I could a day in advance. Overall, I spent money that’s needs to be refunded , lied to about reservation made, and trip delayed. EXTREMELY disappointing, disheartening and annoying experience from Budget.

Just called to tell me my reservation won’t be there tomorrow. Rather than offer any solution or alternative, they tell me I have to call budget and that they aren’t “corporate budget.” The name of the store is Budget of Paramus… Then they give me a 1-800 number and tell me I never should have booked online. Never heard of a company telling me not to book with them before, but I’ll take the advice next time.

The owner is nasty. I’ve been here a few times and he has a really bad attitude. Reserved a car when I got here he told me none were available. Use a corporate code from the business I work for and he told me that the owner of the company needs to be present. That’s nonsense. Don’t waste your time coming here cause he acts like he doesn’t need anybody’s business.
