This is a special shoutout to Arlin Ventura. I've been having technical issues with capital one since I opened my account. And, because i live in Connecticut It was difficult for me to travel every time they need an in person verification which I had already done couple of times in NYC. I had almost lost all my interest and was planning to close all accounts. This lady here, not only patiently helped me and talked to customer service, explained them the situation multiple times, made me feel comfortable. And finally resolved the situation. Even though the bank was at fault, she apologized several times, and trust me, the issue I was facing took more than a year to resolve. I want to thank her for her patience, as she tried to understand the whole situation and handled it professionally. It was resolved in May of 2024. While cleaning my bag I found her card and wanted to write this review to thank her and appreciate her for her dedication. Thank you Arlin!

I have banked with Capital One for years but have never had a need to go to a physical bank since opening the account. Today I needed to conduct a transaction that could not be done electronically and went into the Paramus, NJ branch. The service I received was excellent, so much so that I am writing a review for a bank! Each associate that I had the pleasure of speaking with was friendly and helpful, especially Stacie; service was fast and efficient.

Wildly incompetent and short-staffed. Staff doesn’t know what they’re doing and their customer service line doesn’t either. Avoid.

One of the male tellers who works on Wednesdays had my license in front of him and still decided to call me Kevin. I was extremely offended and believe that this is an instance of racial stereotyping/discrimination. Kevin is considered a “common” Asian name and I think this shows a lack of sensitivity and customer care. He had access to my full name yet decided to address me however he wanted. He also kept me for an inordinate amount of time in the bank because of text identity verification. The solution was to verify via phone call… This makes me doubt the credentials of staff if it takes a phone-call to back-end just to have me call to verify identity rather than text.

Waited on line while 2 of the 3 bank tellers were not helping customers. Finally a fourth teller called me over. Tried to open a cd but the guy wouldn't open and said he was about to close.

Been doing a lot of the outgoing wire funds transfer domestic weekly these days , first time going this branch , at my regular branch at Clifton, always teller help me, no need to wait for the associate, but at this branch, the teller at first willing to do it and then someone give him signal and then he asked me to wait and next available associate to do it, I don’t understand while the two tellers are free at their window , why not helping customers?? This branch sucks, will not come back for sure

Capital one has very few banks in the area. And all of their atms have one or another issue. This one wouldnt take cash or check payments...

Worst bank ever. Just one time id like the atm to accept deposits like its meant to. How is this atm never taking cash or check deposits. Fix yourself my chase account may not do intrest but it always lets me deposit my cash and checks
