I went there buying some stuff and the girl working there put me the tax which by law in nj no one pays for that.she told me she was going to get it off and again she put $5 tax. So wen i went home i saw it and went there to return. She never gave me the tax money back. This is the worst store ever

Club Monaco needs to take these reviews seriously. The Manager David needs training on how to behave with clients. He is rude, curt and does not understand he is in a customer service business. I am still shocked he was the manager. I have filled a formal compliant with corporate office. Let see what action they take.

Excellent store. It has just the right amount of inventory without feeling overwhelming. Everything is better quality than Banana Republic or Nordstrom (particularly the mulberry Silk shirts and dresses). Things have a more Eurochic look to them, making them more stylish. To top it all, Rosemary and Sara are amazing. They took good care of us and were patient with us even when we were there past closing hours. Love this location of Club Monaco. We will return! 🙂

I hope the senior management of Club Monaco reads and considers these reviews, as I am clearly not the only one who has had a similar experience. Today, I had a deeply unpleasant encounter in the store. I was about to purchase a sweater marked at $119, but the cashier claimed it was $189, matching the online price, and refused to honor the ticketed price. When I asked to speak to the store manager, the cashier smugly declared she was the manager. Unbelievable. As a frequent shopper, I know that Club Monaco in-store prices are sometimes lower than online. There were 4-5 sweaters, all marked at $119. The so-called manager’s attitude was atrocious, constantly insisting the price was incorrect. It is your responsibility to correct pricing errors, not the customer's. Will never shop there again.

very racist and rude. They always ignore and goat at people of color who enter the store, and will only greet white customers. Truly disgusting behavior. As many others have noted, the workers watched us come in, looked at us rudely, then continued to ignore us as we walked around the entire and store and there was no one else. when two white people peered into the store, not even walk inside, they decided to greet them loudly and welcomingly.

As someone who also works in sales (luxury items, mind you) it’s very easy for me to spot poor customer service. I rarely write reviews but my experience here was so uncomfortable. I was considering purchasing the item I really adored but it’s definitely a hard no when it comes to buying from this location. I have never been treated this way in NYC. It’s bizarre when people who are working a retail job forget that they’re just working a retail job. You’re a human being working to make money at a retail store. You aren’t the president and you’re certainly not any better than the people coming in to purchase things. If you’re going to talk about your customers, maybe do it when they leave or just be kind. This was in between 3-5 pm on a thursday. A quick sip of humble tea is needed. You should also probably steam the dresses you’re wearing if you’re trying to represent your store. xo

This location needs a lesson on customer service. Today I walked into the store and it was only myself and the sales associate (an attractive white woman with long brown hair who is supposedly the manager). She saw me but didn't greet me. Other people walked in and she greeted them. Then when I was looking at a few items, I saw her through the mirror that she was looking at me. It felt like she was checking that I wasn't stealing anything. A few seconds later she went into another section of the store and I followed her. She looked me straight in my eyes and continued to ignore me but said hello to other people who she walked by. She made me feel very uncomfortable and as a result, I refused to buy anything from that store despite a few items that caught my eyes. I would never visit that store again, they obviously do not want my money.

Terrible customer service here. No greeting, no smile. They seemed annoyed by customers especially when you want to return something. I used to shop at Manhattan stores and have never got such a terrible experience.

I never really get a friendly vibe at this store. One time an employee at the register tried to tell me she can’t give me the discount that was obviously going on (they had a giant sign on the windows) even though the item was part of the promotion. I also get a bit of a snobby sale-y vibe from the women working here, pressuring me to buy something or just leave. I usually like Club Monaco but haven’t bought anything bc of this store experience.
