Title: Beware of Hidden Membership Fees and Poor Customer Service at Fabletics Garden State Plaza MallI recently visited the Fabletics store located in Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus, NJ, with the intention of purchasing a pair of leggings. While I was able to find the leggings I wanted, my experience at this store left me extremely disappointed and frustrated.Upon entering the store, I was not informed about any membership program or associated fees by the customer service representative. It was only after leaving the mall that I noticed an unexpected charge of $64.95 on my credit card statement. To my dismay, this charge turned out to be a membership fee for the Fabletics store itself. I felt deceived and scammed by the store's lack of transparency.What added to my disappointment was the unprofessional behavior and lack of knowledge displayed by the customer service representative. When I called the store to inquire about the charge, the girl I spoke with not only failed to acknowledge the issue but also responded with an attitude. This kind of dismissive and disrespectful behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the store's commitment to customer satisfaction.It is essential for Fabletics Garden State Plaza Mall to address these concerns and ensure that their customers are fully informed about any membership programs or associated fees before making a purchase. Transparency is key in building trust and maintaining a positive shopping experience.I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when shopping at this particular Fabletics store. Be sure to inquire about any hidden fees or membership programs before making a purchase. Additionally, it is my hope that the store management takes immediate action to improve their customer service and provide proper training to their staff members.I urge others to be cautious and informed to avoid falling victim to similar scams.

The store is really inviting and one of the sales Associates Antoinette was extremely helpful and nice. Definitely will return! Go see them!

Horrible customer service experience. I ended up returning the items and I didnt even get a receipt of the refund. Now I have no proof of my return. Worse experience ever, ended up cancelling my membership.

Walking into the store i felt so hopeless after going store to store unable to find anything in my size..Jaquiese's welcoming smile and ultra friendly attitude almost brought me to tears..not only saving tons of money but made me feel special. Thank you so much i will definitely recommend this store

Worst customer service and shopping experience ever. I went to the store and bought a big order of 113$. The idiot cashier charged my card twice. When I went back to get my money back they insisted that it only went through once even as I was showing them the two charges on the account. They would not give me money back and told me to take it up with the bank. I will never shop here again and urge those reading this to do the same. Ridiculous prices for Walmart quality leggings. Never have I experienced something like this with such rude and unhelpful employees.

Very disappointed that in this day and age this scheme somehow works. The store offers a standard Ecommerce experience with major discounts. By placing an order with them and using this discount, you get automatically rolled into a monthly VIP subscription. The User Experience on the site, as well as messaging do not suggest that you will be automatically opting in this membership. Then 1 month later, a $54 charge is automatically withdrawn from your account. No messages, nothing. This is an absolute rip off and someone has to look into it.

I absolutely love this fabletics store! Not only is the quality of the clothes incredible but the customer service is by far the best I’ve ever received! Tonight I went into the store thinking there was not much they could do to help me but I was blown away with the service I received! I really appreciate the help and service I received tonight. Antwanette is the best! Definitely recommend this store!

Lots of issues with Fabletics at Garden State Plaza.1. I was not greeted when I entered the store. It's so incredibly unwelcoming and unprofessional. Additionally, no one asked if I needed any assistance. Overall, there's zero acknowledgement of the customer.2. I made an exchange and was NOT made aware that I was being refunded store credit. I was asked if I had an account with fabletics, I said no. The associate then went on and handed me an ipod saying, "fill out your information here so we can do an exchange. I thought it was weird that I had to make an account in order to do an exchange but I work at Athleta where we do something similar for loyalty so I didn't ask any questions. My exchange was complete and I left the store and noticed that I should be getting money back for my exchange so i thought that was great. I check my email to make sure I wasn't signed up for the VIP membership, luckily I was not but I saw that I received $20 store credit. I go back to fabletics, do a second exchange and ask them why I got store credit instead of a refund back to my card. The associate was not helpful AT ALL, had no interest, did not sympathize, just told me that store credit was their policy and if I wanted a credit card refund, I was supposed to tell them that. Why does a customer have to tell an associate they want a refund back to their card? Why is that not an option discussed during transaction? Why was I blindly signed up for an account with fabletics without knowing the details? Why wasn't I told that I would be refunded store credit? The lack of communication in this store is unacceptable and comes off very sneaky.3. During my second exchange, the associate did not process my transaction as a single exchange (like it was done during my first exchange). Instead, she processed the return, gave me store credit AGAIN and then used that store credit to purchase the item I was exchanging for. I was given no information that she was processing my exchange this way and frankly, there was no reason to process it like this at all. And because she did process it this way with zero communication, I was left not knowing I paid with store credit. I ended up on the phone with customer service for a half hour asking them to refund my store credit to my card from my first exchange. This resulted in them telling me they could not fulfill my request because I had used my credit already during my second exchange. Which I argued back and forth with them about it until I noticed what the associate had done. Had the associate properly done the exchange in a single transaction, I would not have run into further complications with customer service.Overall, this experience was a nightmare and many other details were left out. I will not being shopping at fabletics ever again -- which is a shame because the company itself is nice but the staff at the garden state location are not properly trained AT ALL and have made it a terrible experience. I will never recommend this company to anyone either due to their lack of communication about store policies.
