“I’ve been going there since it was Stew Leonard’s. The prices are very comparable to any of the larger liquor stores and they do not push specific brands on you. When I had to move classrooms, I asked them for boxes and they were super helpful. They even had an employee wheels them out to me on a cart. My husband and I purchase all of our adult beverages from Prime Wine Cellars for our parties. Great selection of beers and wines.”

And in case they don't know English, that girl must be the owner and if not, it should be because she knows a lot and serves very well. Between a purchase of $5 I came out with a receipt for $120, the girl knows about liquor.”

“I’ve been to a fair number of liquor stores, but this one really stands out. The selection is excellent — from craft whiskeys and aged rums to unique wines and local brews, there’s something for every kind of drinker. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely helpful without being pushy, which made browsing a lot more enjoyable.
What I really appreciated was how organized and clean the store was. Everything is easy to find, and if you’re unsure about something, someone’s always around to offer suggestions or answer questions. Prices are fair, and they often have some great deals or limited-time specials worth checking out.
Whether you’re stocking up for a party or just grabbing a bottle for the weekend, this place makes it easy. Highly recommend.”

“this is my first visit to Gary’s. I loved the depth and breadth of their wine inventory. I really like South African wines and many wine shops either do not carry them at all, and if they do, have a very limited selection. Gary has a nice selection of South African wines as well as Italian wines, with the Italian wines featuring a lot of regions that most other wine shops do not. Kudos to Gary’s! Oh, and by the way, their wines are priced very fairly .”

If you like beer, I recommend trying the NJ local brews.

“The BEST small high-end wine shop in Harlem. By far. I love the selection and I love the staff. They’re super helpful and lovely people to talk to. It’s my go to shop. They’ve got a great website and will also deliver quickly if you call. I’ve literally made friends on the subway just by seeing and connecting over our Pompette Wine bags lol this is a beautiful little neighborhood shop for wine enthusiasts but also with great knowledge if you’re just dipping your toe into the wine and spirits water. Also love when they have liquor and wine reps come in and educate on their stock.”

If you know about total wines and liquors you know they have 90% of what you're looking for in stock always! And for them to not have this bottle vs a small time liquor store amazed me.
