We had to put our cat Henry to sleep. He had cancer and I didn’t want him to go through the pain that cancer brings. He wasn’t eating, was getting very thin, slept all the time.
It was time. The staff at VEG were very compassionate and gave us as much time as we needed, both before and after. They took care of the private cremation perfectly and returned his ashes promptly and with compassion. So much better than their nearby competitor, Blue Pearl.

Excellent. Truly cares about pets and their owners. They stick to their words, when they say come in we will work something out, the animal needs to be seen.
I have heard that from so many places in the past and they didn’t work anything out, but VEG of Paramus stuck to their words.
And it’s very obvious that they truly care about pets, and also the pet owners.

Love VEG Paramus! Every time I go they pay so much attention to my pup and make me feel heard as a patient. They treat every animal like their own and take their time to ensure proper care. I wish I could take my pup there as a normal veterinary office!

Amazing , attentive,and so helpful. When I brought my dog Chip in they put my stress to ease and immediately came up with a plan to get him better! Great experience

Lack of aftercare and not thorough with follow ups even after they express you can reach out to them with concerns. Also, there could have been more suitable medications administered for preventive care after the procedure. Too much money was spent and the only result I got was my dog getting an infection after their procedure at this facility.

Wonderful , warm , friendly and caring staff. There is a sense of serenity there. Clean and appropriate lighting....I highly recommend!!

I had a great experience at Veterinary Emergency Group today. The facility was clean, we were seen incredibly quickly, and the staff were friendly and caring.I had fortunately never been to an emergency vet before, and naturally needing an emergency vet is a stressful situation, but seeing that the staff here genuinely care for animals and the work they do made me feel at ease. They addressed all my concerns and gave me the time I needed to make decisions about my cat’s health and any necessary testing, at no point did I feel rushed. I am very grateful for the level of care my girl received today and would refer anyone needing an emergency vet to this hospital. Thank you!

Unfortunately this was our 2nd visit with our Australian labradoodle that ate something he shouldn’t have. Once again, the staff was top notch! Highly recommend if you need an emergency hospital for your pet

Even on a busy Easter Sunday the team at VEG Paramus was wonderful as always ready to treat all of us with compassion and patience. We did not feel rushed or ignored by the vet or the nurses taking care of my Jameson and we were able to bring my baby back home for a very late dinner!
