This location literally needs to stop hiring high school kids who come and go throughout the school year, and who don't know how to properly serve ice cream in quantity and quality. Ive been here countless times where the serving size you order is comparable to a size down. I have reached out to DQ and have complained about this issue in the past, and it obviously shows the the franchise owner/operator isn’t fazed by this. Instead of biting back and defending what’s wrong, listen to the complaint and make it right. Its ice cream for petes sake, not a gourmet dish.Update:Picture attached for 2 medium cups, the inconsistency of how their preparing customers orders.

Went there at 8:30pm Sunday. 20 people on line. One worker leaves counter to hug & say hello to 4 friends. Waited 10 minutes for 1 person to be servedComplained to I guess was the manager. She was the oldest of the 5 workers. She said where doing the best we can. I suggested stop with the meet & greet at the door, & make service a priority!

2 OLDER WOMAN ARE RUDE! SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING.Took the girls I babysit for free cone day. It was stated that a vanilla cone was free and if you wanted chocolate or any toppings it would be a $1 donation- Understandable. Both the girls wanted chocolate and no cash. I had no problem paying for them. The one woman behind the register was extremely rude and told me about the $10 credit card minimum. I told her I was an aware and got the girls mediums and myself a come to make the total $10+. The girls are eating their ice cream and they wanted cups so they didn’t spill. The same women gave me the cups with such an attitude. Later on, they wanted spoons. I asked for one spoon, the other woman rolled her eyes and gave it to me. I needed another spoon for the other kid and this woman flat out yelled at me. She said that it was free cone day, unless we pay we don’t get a spoon. I explained that I had no cash and had to pay full price and she continued to give me attitude. I was so embarrassed. Thankfully, some of the girls friends were there with their moms to witness this. I’m truly so disgusted with the attitude of these 2 women working at Dairy Queen in Park Ridge. I was so respectful and just wanted a spoon for my girls. I will never be back to this location.

Little bit of a bait and switch here. Went to get a blizzard to find out they have a $10 credit card minimum to cover fees. No where was this stated before I waited in line or at the door before I walked in.I understand there’s credit card fees but for someone getting a single item this is really inconvenient. It’s 2023- cashless payments are commonplace. I’d rather pay the 2-3% than have to meet a minimum.

Kind of bummed that they stopped offering Reese’s pieces with the blizzards. It was my only reason for going. The peanut butter cups are not the same… I guess I will have to learn to make them at home.

I have visited this location many times for years. I had a very frustrating experience today. I went in at 10:15 I ordered two very simple cones. my first cone was made by a blonde girl with her hair in a bun, took her longer then needed she was to busy conversating, which there is nothing wrong with but this wasnt the worst part. after she made my first cone she tossed it on the counter walked away and started making a blizzard which ended up being for herself. she also proceeded to lick it facing myself and the other people in there. kind of ridiculous she could have taken the extra minute to finish my order, instead I had to wait even longer when I was one of two orders at the time. defiantly not returning.

I have been coming to this Dairy Queen for two years and have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this establishment. Not until today did the owner/manager (older lady with blonde hair) give me a nasty attitude about the $10 dollar minimum which she said has been in effect since April but no one really enforced it until May. I understand that there are fees related to using a card but there was no reason to give an attitude. I also noticed there’s a huge employee turn around. They hire young kids to work but always see different kids every single time I come inside to buy a blizzard. Not sure why that’s the case but maybe there’s something wrong with management. As it was the case today when I was spoken to extremely rudely by the said owner/manager. As I am a huge fan of the product I will continue to purchase my blizzard but just wish I was treated kindly as I am a paying customer.

This place needs to do something about their $10 credit card rule. I used to go there often but not anymore since I have to get cash in order to get my kid ice cream. Even if u get two it’s still not enough to meet the $10 minimum. The owner should use their brain and add the fee if someone wants to use a credit card otherwise they will be loosing a lot of business. Clearly they don’t care though. The credit card fee is more important

Horrible. I went in today to pick up a milk shake for my year old son as a special reward. When I went to pay the cashier told me that they no longer accept debit/credit cards for purchases under $10, then points to a sign saying that this is a new rule effective 2 weeks ago. I asked if an exception can be made THIS ONE TIME since I was unaware of the new rule and I have no cash on me. I was told "no, sorry" ... My son was so upset when I got back tot he car. Luckily, Baskin Robins a few store fronts down were more than happy to take my money and has now earned my business and loyalty. Ice cream is supposed to bring joy to a child, not make them cry. Very poor standards of practice DQ!

Dairy Queen is predictable as it gets! Very enjoyable!

Compared with other DQ sites, they make blizzards so little and doesn’t mix well. I ordered large and feel like I’m getting medium size. They don’t put enough ice cream to begin with and it’s supposed to be Mocha Fudge blizzard but the coffee syrup is always at the bottom not mixed with ice cream throughly.
