I brought my car in to have a nail removed/tire plugged. They asked me to leave the car & even gave me a ride home. They were nice & friendly. Later got a call from Miles that there was a big problem with my brakes. It was a dangerous situation he said that any mechanic is obligated to report--my front brake pad were completely gone & calipers locked & back brakes were only ones functioning but needed new pads too. That if I didn't have it fixed they would have to make me sign a waiver to pick up my car. Estimate given was $1,482. The entire car had just been checked out by my regular mechanic so I knew this could not be true & said I'd just up my car. Miles called again 5 minutes later out of concern for my safety & the dangerous condition, said he talked to the owner & they could "cut me a deal" or again they would have to make me sign a waiver. I declined again & picked up the car. No waiver was presented. Paid $30 for the tire patch & will never go there again. Liars and crooks who use scare tactics.

They are always very polite both on the phone and in person. They installed tires that I bought from somewhere else. Prices are the most reasonable in the area and they're fast too. Many places wont install tires unless you buy from them. Park ridge did. Because of this, I'll buy tires from them in the future.Thank you guysServices: Tires

I brought my car to have brakes checked because I thought they might need service.Got a call that they checked them with a road test & they're fine, so no need for service. It's too easy to talk customers into unnecessary repairs, but they have integrity so they were honest. Good guys on the crew, too.Highly recommend!

The George Santos of Auto Repair. Truly disgraceful. My first experience with these guys was a simple request over the fall. Four new tires and an oil change. I got the new tires but didn't see the oil service sticker on the window after picking it up. I was the last person to pick up a car before they closed. When I got home I checked the oil and it was as black as night. I was charged for the oil change service, but it wasn't completed. I brought it back for an opportunity for them to make good on it the next day without making a scene in front of other customers waiting for service. I politely asked to gentleman to come outside and review the invoice with me and pointed out that I didn't receive what I paid for. He agreed and the oil change was priortized. The excuse was "we're busy and sometimes these things happen" If it was the everyday customer who doesn't have the know-how on what to check, they would have been scammed. If I didn't check, I would have made a nice $80 donation to these jokers. I'm sure it happens more then they'd like to admit.Fast forward to today. My wife left earlier in the morning to run some errands. The previous day she took her car here for it's first oil change. I'm out doing the weekend yardwork and I notice a decent pool of oil on the driveway where she parks. A reminder this is the vehicles' FIRST oil change outside of the factory. These bozos didn't torque the drain bolt. Finger tight. Unreal. If he wasn't retired I'd reach out to Arnold Diaz the TV jounalist to do a "Shame on You" segment on these knuckleheads.I'm really not the type to go digital with my experiences but they're 0-2 now. I understand the power of google reviews but C'mon now. How do you mess that up when oil changes are likley 85% of your business? Had I not noiced this she would have continued to drive and her brand new car's engine would have seized. My advice to this establishment would be to stop their advertizing campaign with these money mailers and valpaks and invest it into competant help. You're only as good as the people you invest in. Word of mouth and a good customer experiece go much further.Services: Tires

They’re very reliable and professional, also very quick service. Prices are reasonable. They know what kind of job has to be done for my car. They even drop me home and drop off my car. I really thank god for helping me found this auto shop.

They do some good work at times certain things, however I kept trying to explain to them I had a IWE hub problem which two other mechanics caught right away. I even was told be the owner, ride with my mechanic, and the mechanic said in my passenger seat “I’m hard of hearing” when he finally acknowledged the sound he said it was rust. Even the boss told me the four wheel drive was smoothe and locking in and out when even me a not mechanic knew it wasn’t, two other shops picked up on it right away. How can two lifelong mechanics not tell the difference between locked 4wd and 2wd. Ram a vacuum tester to the hub lines and ruled out everything but the actuators which were old and and jamming the driveline, it was causing major pain to my transfer case axles differentials and transmission. Picture a 2wd system attempting to bang both driveshafts together when the front tires usually spin free and at different speeds than drive tires, not good and thankfully rectified as it was a major root cause of possible issues. Like I said they can do good work on drive components tires etc but anything advanced go elsewhere for sure. then I had a bulkhead transmission wire leak which was botched, was told “it took five hours cause I couldn’t figure it out, wasn’t enough fluid put in needs more fluid” yet they were driving it so did they drive it with no fluid to make sure it worked before refilling and blow the clutch band ? I won’t speculate but maybe. now one of my bands is shot but I had already torque converter issues but very annoying, and the next day after the “repair” got a wrench code for the electronics involved in the seal the day before. Very shady, wouldn’t go back, not that knowledgeable but can do minor repairs. Brendan Coughenour. Who knows if my fluid is even filled up enough now probably burning out my transmission more each day with these clowns. The mechanics who fixed my hub lockers told me this place was much worse before and he wasn’t surprised but was surprised that they couldn’t diagnose IWE hublockers. Told me many other people has come to him after “repairs” at parkridge to correct them and they were infamous for faking repairs and not actually doing the job.Services: Steering & suspension repair

Got new tires and oil change will be last. Rims are all chewed up from when I got new tires. Been taking my car to Toyota for years never seen this damage. First and last time. Guess going back to Toyota. They need better tools or better people.

Rip off. Scam. Do not go here. -Every single time they "find" additional things that are wrong, often after starting the initial work. Not just things that are recommended but things that they pose as serious issues that needs to be done or that the issue was "worse than initially thought." Of course that is possible with car repair. But not every single time.-I got something not that complicated done there once and found out later a different place charges a decent amount less for.-Very friendly staff to try to mask that they are ripping you off.-Once dropped off my car, they gave me a call to tell me they were looking at it and would call me back with an estimate. Never got that call. Only got a call telling me the work was finished with the final charge of several hundred dollars.-Once brought in my car for a perceived issue and they told me something was wrong and wanted to charge over $1000 to fix. I brought it to another place and turns out there was no issue at all and that no work was needed. Do not go here. They will rip you off.Always get a second and maybe third opinion. Never let a place work on it without doing that first.

Park Ridge Discount Tire & Auto Center is the best there is! You can’t beat the prices or quality of work. I was recommended to come here for tires and I’m so happy I did. Bobby the owner is so pleasant and honest. All of his staff is friendly and knows what they’re doing. They’re not trying to make $ off of you, but rather give you quality work. Your car is trusted in the right hands if you come here- you won’t regret it!
