For the amount I'm paying, the room shouldn't smell like cat piss and mildew, have outdated AC's that barely blast out any cold air, sticky carpets from the humidity, and dirty rooms. Found a magnum condom in the crease of the chair. The mini fridge barely keeps anything cold. Idk if it's the location, but this is the worst Mariott I have ever stayed at.

Nice hotel. Staff is ingredible! Karl at the Biestro/Starbucks bar is the most accomidating customer service person I have met! Get that guy a raise!

While hotel is clean enough (though showing it’s age, especially in the bathrooms) there are a few turnoffs if you spend a lot of time in hotels. Cleaning is upon request only and they don’t tell you. You just wonder why your room hasn’t been cleaned and your trash is over flowing. You try to call the front desk. You dial 0 on the room phone and find that the hotel phones done work. You call the number on your cell phone to ask the front desk about cleaning and the ‘hold the line for the front desk’ immediately and repeatedly disconnects you. You use the chat in the Bonvoy ap and the person tells you that all the phones on the 2 & 3 floors don’t work. There is a strange noise that starts about 4am and stays on 6 am. After which it cycles. It sounds like an alarm going off in a room next door that doesn’t stop. I was told ‘oh that’s the boiler’. I asked for a bottle of water as the give them out freely at most of the Marriott properties I stay in (yes, I have lifetime gold status, but honestly no other Marriott hotel has bothered to tell me if I got one at check in 4 days ago then it’s not free). So while these are all first world trivial things: there are way better nearby properties that are run more professionally than this place. The courtyard west orange is way better and even has electric car chargers so if EWR hertz only has electric cars left you can charge!

After a long New Year’s Eve in New York City, I drove out a little bit on the way home and I decided to stay here. I watched the ball drop on TV from here. The room was pretty clean and the front desk service is good although the location is not ideal because there is really nothing to do around here. It’s very quiet and there is nothing crazy going on here. Well I had a good night here and woke up on the right side of the bed in 2024.

The hotel customer service is the worst for all my experiences with Marriott.1. I stayed there for 3 nights, but I don’t get any housekeeping services for the first 2 nights. So I requested to clean my room on the 2nd day, so I hope I can enjoy for my last night, but I have been told I have to request that 24 hours ahead, meaning l won’t get any housecleaning during my 3 night stay! The associate insist this is their policy but no one ever mentioned that to me when I checked in, nor states in their website description.2. I asked for a bottle of water on my 3rd day, but been told I am only eligible for 1 bottle of water for my entire stay. Then I told the associate that I’m a platinum member can I receive just one extra bottle. He refused and told me 90% of his hotel guests are platinum member as this is nothing to Marriott. I’m very upset that this is the way Platinum member is been treated in this hotel.3. One night I was not feeling good so I texted the front desk if they could deliver some water to my room. I waited for like 10 minutes and got replies that they will response asap. It has been 2 days, they have not responded yet.They don’t care and do not willing to help. They treat customers like homeless people who is trying to use their restroom. So disappointed.

What a dump! Restless night as a result of all the noise happening in the hallway and in surrounding rooms. Then to get up and want to take a shower... in a filthy bathroom... ugh! The bathroom was gross! There was a used wascloth still hanging in there. The floor was filthy and the tub was grimey. Maybe the cleaning people should, CLEAN, perhaps. Dirty, dirty, dirty!Rooms: Not clean!!

I was there for a business meeting. The location could not be any better (a brief commute from my home). The lunch was efficient. The standard sandwiches, salad, chips, dessert, and beverages. The room was set in a typical manner for a meeting. There were challenges with the sound.
