I honestly don’t understand how this place has 4-stars. I would not even give this place one-star but I want others to know before they go.
Our experience at this hotel was disappointing from the start. Check-in was chaotic, and the staff were unprepared to handle even simple issues like guests sharing the same last name. The lobby was uncomfortably hot, which gave the impression that the property was poorly maintained.
Safety was a concern. The elevator had makeshift repairs using tape, and our room door lock jammed, which meant we couldn’t leave the room unattended while packing. The room was bare and uncomfortable, with broken fixtures, a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly, and an air conditioning unit that stopped working overnight.
Breakfast was underwhelming. The room was hot, the coffee was limited, and the options were poorly stocked. The gym had no wipes, spray, or paper towels to clean equipment, and no hand sanitizer was available anywhere in the hotel.
Customer service was disorganized and unhelpful. One staff member seemed completely untrained, and although Tarique made an effort, he clearly lacked support. At checkout, we discovered our credit cards were mixed up between rooms.
This hotel does not meet the standards we expect from the Marriott brand. We do not recommend staying here.

If you absolutely have to...otherwise avoid.
The hotel is very dated, apparently doing some renovations?
Locating, unless you already know where it is will be difficult. Tree and shrub cover obscure the location and hotel.
Breakfast was not great even by economy hotel standards.
Sadly I booked multiple nights.
Not up to the marriott brand at all.
Luckily they left a dead bug on the bathroom counter.
Bed was old, carpet was older.
I could go on.

Thin paper-like walls you can actually hear and understand conversations from other rooms, it’s ridiculous.

Rooms are clean, staff is very nice and helpful. Bathroom door was broken and HVAC was a mystery, with controls on the wall and on the unit that both seemed to work sometimes and not at other times.

Good hotel for the price and only 45 minutes to the Brooklyn cruise terminal. Where we took our cruise from.

I stayed at this hotel in room 226 from sat-sun. Sunday I woke up with bites on my arm from bed bugs! Unbelievable! When I called the hotel to complain I was told there was no manager on duty.

A front desk staff mr. Alex was rude and unprofessional. I stayed 2 nights but towels were not provided at second night. So I asked to towel mr.Alex at front desk but he told me there was no towel to provide. I gave up to talk to him and through his manager, towel delivered immediately. Will not recommend nor stay here again.

Everything we needed on our trip with incredible service on top. Wilhemenia at the front desk was an absolute pleasure. She was attentive and helpful every step of the way. Would come back for the service staff alone.

Room 419 The safety latch is broken. Lifts are old. instead of remodeling it applied paint that is used for drywall. breakfast time should be at least up to 10am

Rooms were spacious and much more than enough for my needs. Free breakfasts were amazing - also, you could get an assortment of items practically 24/7. We just needed to get away for a night, and the Fairfield Inn worked perfectly. The room is comfortable, the front desk people are pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast is good.We'd return if we needed another getaway!
