I have rented several times from this location and they always provide GREAT customer service! They make the process quick and easy. Everyone is very nice, but Cheri is the best! I brought the wrong type of phone charging cable and she had one that she let me borrow. It saved me so much time and I was so grateful. Highly recommend renting from here.

Rented from Cheri - had an emergency and had to come in at 730am on a Sunday! They were one of the only rental places open on a Sunday and definitely the only one open before 9am! Furthermore, I got a brand new 2024 Nissan Altima for the same price every other rental place was charging for old beat up Camrys with 100k miles - do yourself a favor and go to hertz in Passaic, you will not regret it

As soon as I walked In 275 main Ave I felt tension. I said Good Morning with a smile and Shelly disregarded it and didn't even smile or made me feel welcome. I attempted to retrieve a vehicle reserved online (Expedia) with my credit card and ny license. She made me feel as if she didn't want to release car to me. She kept giving problems as to me to produce proof of address such as correspondence or anything else besides as if my drivers license and credit card wasn't enough . I understand these are required if using a debt card. I asked why I have to if I'm using a credit card ? She seemed very cranky,or racist with a stone face. She then called for her worker then ask that he stuck around which made me feel uncomfortable as if she felt threatened . Why is it because I'm black. I was terribly upset upon leaving I was d shaking with anger. I came in a very good mood her customer service was so horrible I left shaking with anger and I felt disrespected. I will not allow this to go unnoticed or happen to anyone . So I will report her by contacting bbb next. In this day and time everyone should be respected

As always, when renting a vehicle it's always good to know who you're renting from. Upon seeing a "hertz" location listed in passaic NJ, we made a reservation. Note, This is NOT a regular hertz rental, it is a franchise. The rental agreement lists a private buiseness name on it, aside from the basic hertz information. When we arrived, we were told by the manager/ owner that all cars were booked and unavailable ; not unheard of for an online resevation. 10 minutes after we leave She calls saying "big mistake" they do have a car; unprofessional , to say the least. Then, not to mention the smug attitude, the owner tries to interrogate by asking non stop intrusive questions, claiming they are required by law, for homeland security purposes. When she saw she was getting no where, they just printed the contract and handed the keys over to us. when I called hertz corporate, the representative couldn't help but laugh, at how bizarre it all sounded. Additionally, they actualy charge the deposit fee ,and formally refund it, a little after the rental is returned , unlike a regular hertz location which just places a hold. In short, this is a private buiseness that is all but a franchise of hertz, so you should not expect a regular hertz car rental experiance.

I had such a great experience renting multiple cars from this hertz. I dealt with Cheri Agresta who is very professional, helpful, and someone who knows their job inside and out She made me want to come back to this location. Thank you Cheri.

I will never rent from this specific Hertz again. They sprayed the car down before I took it and didn't noticed the smoke scent until a while after I left the car rental. The side mirror was also taped. This will be my last time going there.

The customer service and professionalism are top notch at Hertz Passaic: it was the best experience I have ever had at a car rental agency. Everything was easy, because the staff is so helpful and personable. The car was in great condition, and at a reasonable price.

The people are nice and the location is convenient as I pick up cars for business. However, I’ve felt that the cars are not being cleaned properly prior to being given the next renter. It’s sad because it’s a great location with good people but unlike other hertz locations. I still think it is still a great location and Andrew Cantor the owner is a great guy!! Gave me call about my concerns. I trust the place will do better for customers and I will definitely be booking in the future.
