I visited Passaic store today and I am extremely disappointed with the experience. The customer service was almost non-existent. The associates were not polite at all, and despite asking for help multiple times, no one ever showed up to assist me. To make matters worse, when I requested to have the items I purchased kept on will call for later pickup, the associates at the Passaic branch outright declined my request. This was particularly frustrating because the Totowa branch had no issues accommodating the same request earlier today for the same item.
When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that the manager was not available at the moment. The customer service associates clearly showed no interest in helping me and made it evident that it did not matter to them whether they made a sale or not.
Overall, this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better service from Home Depot and will think twice before visiting this location again.

One of my worst experience at Home Depot. I so wanted to give 0 stars but google does’nt allow that. Totally useless customer service desk. I asked for the manager and they wouldnt get the manager or let me speak with him/her. I asked for someones assistance for Vinyl Flooring and no one showed up for 20 mins. I asked for assitance with porting the boxes to the car, no one showed up. For billing as well they asked me to lug nearly 450 pounds of stuff for one counter to another. @HomeDepot please do take note and make sure that you dont have useless people working at the store. Overall, Customer Service was Pathetic, Manager was rude and not helpful at all and all the employees at the store were of No Help.

This location is going downhill. This used to be our go to for all kinds of home improvements but no more. A couple years ago we rented a Van from them without any issues and in a timely manner. A few weeks ago we needed to rent a Van again so we went here. Well that time it was a nightmare. The employee did not know what he was doing and it took him nearly two hours to get through just 2 customers. Apparently, this wasn't his normal department and they just stuck him there that day. Management needs some improvements it seems.
Also, the bathrooms are now key code only. You need to buy something before you can go. Which is just stupid. So the customer is supposed to carry all of their purchases to the bathroom or to the car & then go back to the bathroom?! What if you're not done shopping but just really need to use the restroom?! Makes little sense, so much for customer service!!!

This Home Depot is very unreliable. Waited 25 minutes and spoke to multiple workers and departments, including customer service and pro services and no one came to help me order a custom window. After 25 minutes and multiple redirections, I was told to come back at a later time bc that specific person doesn’t work until 4pm. How does this place still exist.

They should remove the Vertical Panel Saw if no one is there to assist a customer by cutting a piece on plywood in half. I waited for 45 for the lumber assistant to arrive after being called 3 times by another home depot associate which never came to help. The guy that called which was literally in the next isle, could have just helped me himself, which I am sure they all are trained on how to use the tool. Store manager was no where to be found when I wanted to ask on how he runs the store with no one to help in each department.

It’s easier to find water in the desert than an associate to help you.

I have never writen reviews but I have absolutely have had the worst possible experience with using home depot for floor installation. Mind you home depot is pushing the sale of their products for a third party to install. The installers do not bring the material with them, home depot schedules a delivery and drops off the material.
The first problem came up with the delivery of the materials the day prior to the installation. I made it clear that I live in a condo complex and that the delivery had to be the day before as I cannot have a pallet of flooring and 16ft molding sitting in my living room for more than 1 day, which was already a red flag. I also stated that the material has to be brought into my home. When the delivery came a tractor trailer with a flat bed came to my complex and dropped my materials in the parking lot of my complex. The driver stated he doesn't bring it into the house which is ridiculous as that is the whole point of setting up someone to install your floors and I was already told they would bring in the material.
As the driver unloaded my material I noticed that the baseboard molding was cracked and damaged as he placed it down on the sidewalk of my complex. Note that this baseboard is finishing molding which is now being scraped by being put on the asphalt which is covered with rock salt from snow.
The driver then said I needed to call the store and work it out with them about getting all the material into my house. I just recently had back surgery so there was no way I was able to bring in a pallet of flooring into my condo. Once again the whole point of me hiring and paying home depot was for them to do the work not me.
At this point the driver left leaving all the material outside in 25 degree weather where I had to now stand gaurd and watch my material so nobody will steal it while trying to get someone on the phone from home depot. I finally got someone and they told me someone should be at my home in 20 to 30 minutes to bring in the flooring. I also stated to them that the molding was damaged as well and will need it replaced. That 30 minutes turned into 2 hours of me standing outside waiting. 2 men finally showed up and brought in the material. I explained to them that the base board was damaged and they said I don't know anything about that and to call the store.
Trying to keep my composure I then called the store again and asked about the baseboard molding replacement. I was passed around to 5 different people and on my 5th person I was conveniently transfered to dial tone. Now I was infuriated as I am now 3.5 hours dealing with this situation with no resolution.
I proceeded to calling the home depot 1800 number where I got in touch with a regional manager to help sort out this mess. He was on the phone with me for 1.5 hours trying to get in touch with a manager at the store but for some reason there was no manager working. He apologized to me and said he will escalate this situation.
Now 5 hours into this as I hang up with the regional I get a call from home depot stating that they spoke to the installers and they will pick up the baseboard prior to the installation.
The next day the installers finally get to my home and look at the job and go outside. I then get a phone call from the company they work for saying they need to charge me another $350 for furniture removal as they were unaware of furniture. Prior to installation home depot sends a person to measure and inspect the space which involves taking pictures of the job with all the furniture.
At this point the installers would not start the job until I agree to pay the additional charge which I was not going to pay as the quote I was given was after the inspection so home depot was well aware of the furniture. I then got a call from the home depot store manager and she said I had to pay $ 325 for them to start. I then argued my case and she then tried to negotiate down which to me was ridiculous. Do not use home d

Parking lot is filthy. Spend the $150 to have someone pick up the trash and clean up. Have some respect and dignity for your business and the community.
