Whoever is pricing the items or merchandise being sold at this store is DISCONNECTED from the real world! Items are OVERPRICED!! sometimes they are even more expensive than in regular stores, such as Walmart! That merchandise is all DONATED! The area and the majority of customers are working class! Please GET REAL!Maybe Americans aren't running that place anymore, that's why.

I used to love this store. the service was amazing and the prices were very good even considering the fact that it was all used donated items. didn't know it was a salvation army and price things accordingly and treated their customers well and made it a fun pleasant experience to shop here. a few years ago there was a change in management and now everything is the opposite. the prices are high almost like new items and definitely not use donated items at a salvation army. sign stress the fact that there are no returns so if you buy a broken television appliance clock for $100 to $200 you're out of luck. probably why they have so many why would you take a risk when you can buy the same television at the same price or even cheaper. the staff is rude unhelpful and act as if they're doing you a favor and you should bow down and thank them for the horrible service and terrible pricing. do not recommend. do not shop here. yes it once was a great place but now it is the exact opposite. what a shame.

Decided to donate clothes today. A lady with glasses rushed to my car and said to put the clothes in the bin fast. I was checking to see if the bags were closed. The lady said “you sure you want to donate the clothes? we don’t want you crying calling back later saying you want it back.” Thats rude. She never said thank you, at least be grateful we are donating to the store.

PROS: everything here is priced well and there's enough parking for everyone. Everything is organized and the place is actually bigger than I expected. Huge selection of clothes, media, books, and electronics CONS: the lanes in the parking lot are narrow so it's tough to navigate through. Also, the bric a brac section isn't plentiful OVERALL: if you like thrifting and you're in the area I would check this place out

Worst place you can go to , we took donations and they wouldn’t take them ( items not on their list ) so they should have taken them . Lazy lazy lazy , all they want is whatever they’re interested in . Mariela the manager wouldn’t take them , shameful . This is a non profit to help out people . Shameful. ALL of our items were NEW , The response stated below is irrelevant!! Standard answer when they get a negative

Horrible store. They don't honor price they put on product. The pictures desk has 3 labels of price, they decided to sell me the highest. Staffs are hostile and ride...only Spanish and no English

I’ve only been to this location twice but was very happy each time. It is dirty and packed with inventory and I honestly wouldn’t want it any other way. The staff are extremely sweet and helpful. I got a bunch of glasses and plates for my new home and was very happy with the selection they had. I think the prices are pretty standard compared to other thrift stores in north jersey. Will include photos of what I picked up!

Walked in about an hour before closing time, and shopped around for about five minutes. Noticed the lights were turned off and staff were giving me and my bf looks which was confusing. I walked up to them asking if the store was closed and they didn’t ask any English so communicating was difficult. I used hand gestures and they finally understood what I meant and said yes in Spanish. Thankfully I know some Spanish. I got a bit annoyed to be honest, this thrift store was a bit out of the way for me. About half an hour. And then come to find out they close an hour early? Please honor your opening and closing times. If it’s not what it says online then change it.And if you are going to close early, lock the doors or have someone come over to tell me that you’re closing. I felt like a fool shopping around and getting side glances & dirty looks, didn’t appreciate that. All the staff just stayed by the counter talking to one another. And just a disclaimer I don’t have anything against people that don’t know English, my parents are immigrants so I understand. I just found it hard to communicate and was moreso frustrated no one made the effort to tell me the store was closing. Then finding out this is in Passaic? Not worth the trip. Also I almost missed the place because the parking lot was confusing. The entrance gate is closed so you had to go in the exit. Not safe, good thing it wasn’t busy. The parking lot is small and tight. I get anxiety over things like this, scared I’m going the wrong way and such so thanks for that. There’s plenty of other thrift stores to go to, my overall experience I won’t come back here again.

I have used the Salvation Army over 30 years they people have always be friendly and very careful taking stuff out of my house. I also make sure around the holidays I give to every person with the pot a donation They are the best to deal with. I will be calling to set up a pickup date when I send this.Cherry Kivlehan

It's a good place to save some cash. You just have to go and see what you can find. Mostly great merchandise, prices and service.
