“I recently celebrated my birthday in American Girl NYC. I'm a young adult doll collector from Europe and I'd been dreaming of getting the full AG experience since I was 8 years old. It was all I had hoped for!!I went with my best friend and the service at the New York Cafe was brilliant— our server, Christian, was incredibly nice and fun, and made our inner child feel positively spoiled. A true professional! Special thank you to him and Keyshawn for singing happy birthday and making our experience so much better. I had an amazing time and made some lovely memories. “This store may not have the largest footprint, but they make excellent use of the space they have. The walls are filled with well-organized displays and eye-catching box sets, and a few larger LEGO builds are showcased throughout the shop. Overall, it’s a fun and worthwhile stop for both locals and visitors.”
“NYC's longest running board game & rpg shoppe (I think, my research is minimal on this) is literally floor to ceiling games. You can find not only new release, but titles from decades ago among it's packed shelves. This place is truly worth a visit when you are in Manhattan.”

“I love that B&N is pet friendly. It's a great place to visit, browse for my next read, and take the fur-baby for a climate controlled walk through the aisles. If you or your dog get thirsty, you can stop at the Starbucks in the store for a drink and sit at the cafe tables or comfy chairs. My dog loved her pup-accino. Side note, taking a dog to such locations is also great for dog training, provided you hold the leash tight and remain aware of other dogs and people/children who may be fearful of dogs.”
“Took my son here for the first time, he has been asking me since he saw their table at NA day event. He’s very into Pokémon cards right now. As we were browsing one of the gentlemen gave him a Halloween pack right away. We bought 3 packs and had a good conversation. As we were about to leave the 2 guys gave my son a whole stack of holographic cards for free. There ended up being a holographic gyrados in that stack of cards and my son has been hoping for that card in every pack he opens, it made his day. Great customer service and highly recommend. Great people. Thank you again!”

“Absolute gem of a store. One of a kind. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. They've ordered specific comics for me to the shop. They've kept me updated when they arrive. Fun store to walk around and get lost in nostalgia. Wouldn't get my comics from any other shop. Even if I was in a life-threatening situation, I'd still pick Zapp! Comics. Thank you to everyone who works there! Zap to the extreme!!”
“Who doesn't love a bookstore! Thank goodness BN still exists! Otherwise, I would not be able to share my love of books and bookstores with my grandchildren. The best part for all of us (well, for me) is the toy section (telescopes, microscopes, you name it, it's there). The Grands also loved the children's book selections.
I must also mention the staff! They were very helpful and pleasant. In a world where customer service is almost nonexistent, I must give compliments where they are due! Please keep up the good work and great customer service!

“Great experience, very kind and helpful staff that seem happy and get along well with each other and costumers alike. I will say with Five Below as a whole it’s so frustrating that they changed their whole setup to be self checkout style, but now require a staff member to scan all your items. This is fine (especially for loss prevention) but the checkout should be rearranged back to a queue style. It’s kind of uncomfortable for the cashier to be looking over my shoulder at the pin pad while I put in my pin (by no fault of their own). Policy and setup should reflect the checkout style from corporate down”

“The place is stock with a variety of Smiskis at some of the best prices I’ve seen in the city. The vibe? Imagine rummaging through a collector’s garage. The staff mostly looked like they’d rather be napping (shout out to the friendly staff in basement) If you are still on the hunt for Labubu, you’ll feel right at home.”
“I think this is my third time going to this Build a Bear. I loved it. We arrived a bit too early, so we only waited like 5 minutes outside. The staff was wonderful. The store was clean, and I felt like a child all over again. It wasn't crowded and the cashier was more than patient with me when we arrived at the front to pay. The only reason I removed a star is because the associate told me that they changed the way the certificates are created now. Apparently, we can't add the names anymore. You have to actually write it down afterwards which I didn't like because everything else is written on the birth certificate. So, that was a bummer. But other than that, I loved the experience and I had fun.”

There are store cameras. If you are just looking at stuff in the store please do not touch anything, misplace... It's best to go earlier, during the day if possible. If it's at night before they close, not around the closing time...
It's okay if they are taking precaution.
They are checking each item while leaving the store... so it’s good that they are checking properly. Please make sure to have the receipt.

Merchandise/Clothes you are buying can not go into the bathroom while you are using the bathroom and shopping in the store.
the bathroom needs much better up keep. Please make sure to wear gloves and a mask (keep door halfway open). To not mix the cleaning chemicals. Please fix and clean the bathroom. Thank you ?”
