Hi, I normally don’t post reviews, but I thought that I would share my experience with ProMedica. My brother is a patient in the nursing home at ProMedica and he is doing well. I like the fact that the facility calls me about everything that goes on. I joke with my family and friends that if they cut my brother’s toenails they call me. I am aware that families are experiencing problems having there loved ones here and my heart goes out to them, but I do like the facility and so does my brother. He is getting the best care and help that he needs and when he goes to the hospital. They’re already contacting me. Thanks ProMedica.

My mother was placed in this facility for hospice care. During her first night there her ring was stolen! Who steals from a person in hospice or at all?!! We went to see her the same night she was admitted & we’re discussing the ring & how swollen her hand was. We did not take it off as to not hurt her due to the swelling. The following day, I noticed it was missing. I immediately contacted the shift nurse & was told they didn’t see anything & that they could not find the inventory list for her to confirm if it was accounted for when she was checked in. That didn’t matter because there were 4 of us there the previous night & we all saw the ring on her. Apparently the manager on duty didn’t feel it was important enough to come to the room to have a discussion about this face to face & directed the nurse to fill out a complaint form. I was told I would get a call on Saturday which did not occur & when I brought it up to the nurse on Sunday she said the office was closed on the weekends & I would definitely get a call on Monday. Monday came & nothing. I ended up calling the facility myself & was met with attitude from the nurses manager stating she just got in & needed to research what happened. In the meantime while visiting I was informed by the nurse who put in the complaint that the inventory list was finally found & it didn’t show record of the ring. Again that was completely not true. I eventually spoke with one of the nurses that helped with the inventory report & told her they failed to fill out that form correctly. I told her she could see where the stone of the ring left a bruise because of how swollen her hand was. I even took a picture just in case. Her response to avoid responsibility was to ask if maybe the hospital took it off before she arrived. Again, the ring was one her finger when we visited her the same night she was admitted! My mother has been in/out of 3 hospitals & a rehab center for almost 3 months with that ring so theft was furthest from our minds especially when she’s in there under hospice care. I finally get a call from the nurses manager stating her investigation of asking the staff resulted in no one saw the ring & that the complaint would have to go to their administrative manager, Raymond. When asked about pulling the camera footage for that night she supposedly didn’t have access to that however Raymond did. My mother passed on Sunday. On top of dealing with grief & arrangements I still had to find time to call the facility to follow up with him on Monday. Despite specifically asking for him, I was put through to another person’s where I left a detailed message asking for a call back. To date I’ve yet to hear from him or anyone else. I am completely outraged that they are not assuming responsibility for the low lives they employ to take care of the people who rely on their services. Their night shifts consisted of 20 something year olds with attitude who lacked professionalism. We always felt like we were bothering when asking for something as small as a cup of water for my mother. I was asked “what do you want” one of the times when I approached the nurses station as I apparently interrupted their personal conversation. 95% of their staff is clearly there just for a check & our loved ones are just another number to them. The site is completely outdated with wallpaper pieces stapled to the walls. The bed my mother was placed in was made of wood & ridiculously uncomfortable. We were grateful for the 3rd party hospice team to bring the mattress she needed in order to be comfortable during her final days. Promedica’s staff lack compassion & know nothing about providing quality care. I am going to continue to fight for an answer for the missing ring. If you have the means to, do yourselves a favor & send your loved ones elsewhere. This place is nothing less than a nightmare & should be closed down.

Yes I posting cause this place is sooo cheap it’s disgusting the new owner should be locked up for the inhumane stuff they allow in patient care, lack of supplies, medication errors, and lack of staff. The upper staff is so lazy it’s ridiculous all they do is eat and talk about their staff members. That is all you will hear about walking down the halls, along with some patient information. I would never put my love one is this position again! I wouldn’t even send my dog here!

This place is horrible!! My mother waited over a hour the first night she was there after hitting the call light! We contacted the nurse manager Heather to discuss the matter and she hung the phone up . We then called Stacy who told us she will take care of the issue but never did that same night the bell was on for a hour and 45 and the next day 2 hours .Just ridiculous!!The state needs to pull there call records to see how long the residents are waiting for help. It’s sad cause we picked this place cause my mother was in here years ago and it was a good place.I don’t know why happen. We transferred mom out of there! Horrible place. We gave them papers over her poa they broke hippa n was calling the grandson n telling him everything instead of the poa!So disappointing

BEWARE! Don’t give this place a thought. A one star is generous. My grandmother was suppose to check in for rehab. We walked in and after seeing the facility and staff we walked right out! It’s filthy and unfortunately you can see the patients are not being properly cared for! Total Disgrace!!

I'm only posting this in hopes of saving someone the pain, stress , and anxiety of sending their loved one to this rehabilitation center. If you have another rehab option, take it! My family is lucky enough to live in the area and we were able to visit with my mother for most of the day. The things we saw, the lack of compassion and care is unimaginable. No place will be perfect but if you are afraid to leave your mother each night in fear of the care ( or lack there of) that she will receive, it's horrible. The Therapy department was very knowledgeable , unfortunately most of the patient's time is spent with nurses and aides and not the therapy staff. It has been such a weight off my shoulders once my mother was transferred to a different facility in the area. For the patient's sake, I really hope this place can get their act together.

This place needs to be shut down!! I wouldn’t send a sick dog there. I truly regret ever allowing my mother to receive care at this place. I’m not saying everyone there is terrible but the bad definitely outweighs the good. I could write a book about the bad experience my mother and I had dealing with this place, but I’ll just say this… if you want good care for yourself or your loved one, don’t give this place a thought. I hope they get it together because everyone deserves good quality care but right now you can’t get it there.

Worst place ever. Had my mother in there for only a few hours and had to get her out. I waited for 2 hrs for them to come and change my mother,I asked them 4 times and even talked to the social worker. Then my mother told them she couldn't breathe and they said they checked her before and she was fine. When we asked for them to call an ambulance they said they had to call the Dr first. Give them 10 minutes and they didn't call so we did. I wouldn't put my worst enemy in this place. Then when we told them we wanted her transfered to another place they said they would put the papers in and they never did. They are lucky nothing happened to her. By the way,if we left her there she would have sufficiented, she had fluid build up in her stomach that was making it hard to breathe. If you have loved ones in there get them out. If I could give them no stars I would have. Terrible place.

My experience at Promedica was not good. I got sick twice from the food. When I needed a nurse it took one hour to two to respond. They were short staffed on all shifts. My medications were changed to lower doseages or taken away with out telling me. The rooms are not updated and falling apart including wall paper peeling off walls and ceiling tiles broken or stained.ProMedica was the new name. I could go on and on. I would advise anyone planning to go there not to.
