I recently visited 2nd Ave. thrift store and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of finds available, especially for those interested in flipping items for resale. Among the treasures I discovered were a sturdy kids' bookshelf, a complete punchbowl set with 11 cups neatly wrapped inside, and a silver-plated double casserole with lids. These items not only showcased the store's diverse inventory but also its commitment to offering valuable and unique pieces at affordable prices. Overall, my experience was extremely positive, and I highly recommend this thrift store to anyone in search of hidden gems!

I went into this store today, and ask about motor chair or anything to assit people with disabilities. The Supervisor became very ingornant, and nasty when I asked him ( Do they have accommodatons for seniors or people with disabilities? )He said no, we dont and we not getting any for that! and laughed in my face. He preceeded to walk over to a guy with a bright blue shirt on and the security guard at the door They all stood there looking over at me and stared laughing. I found nothing funny about the question, So as they continued laughting, I started to walk over to them with my shopping cart, and they all disappeared in a blink of a eye. They need to learn how to respect and deal with seniors and disabable customers. I felt so embarrassed, I left the filled cart right there, and walked out the store. As I was outside waiting for my ride, another disable senior came out and experienced the same situation, @Second Ave Village Thrift, your staff sucks, and your Supervisors, and other workers need training in Customer Service. I will continue to write about this store until something changes for people with disabilities.

This thrift store was okay. The pricing is a bit inconsistent and high across the board. A lot of the clothes are almost regular price which defeats the purpose of going to the thrift store. The store is reasonably clean and there is quite a selection of quality goods overall. I like to come and see what sort of Knick knacks the mix into the random bags of housewares that are usually hanging on the wall. While you can find some unique and vintage items here, again, the prices just aren't hittin.

This used to be a great thrift store. New owners took over, now I won’t be going. They used to have multiple colors on sale, now just one and the prices have soared. Mostly self checkout. They really used to be great, not so much anymore unfortunately. They are organized, thats a plus, but the other trade offs will keep me at the other thrift stores.

I like how the store is organized. They have like items together and like sizes together. You have to check the items carefully before you purchase it. Like snags & rips. They blocked the fitting rooms. You can take it home to try it on and get credit for the day you return it on. Some items seemed too pricey for a used item. Others were good.

I came because this was highly rated, but I should have read recent reviews. I was astonished by the prices on clothing. If it’s a recognizable reputable brand, expect it to be at least $12-15. If it has tags still on, expect double that.Household goods seemed on par with other thrift stores.Other than the prices, the store seemed to be well-organized.

Echoing a lot of the more recent reviews here- I've been going here for a while because they were cheaper than Goodwill, had better deals, and had fitting rooms. Now the prices have gone way up, the deals aren't as good (Used to be 2 different colored tags were 50% off and the colors always rotated, now it's one color tag or ho-hum stuff like "Buy 4 books gets the 5th free"), and they closed the fitting rooms. If you buy something that doesn't fit you can return it......except you're only allowed store credit and you have to use it that day. That's a yikes from me.

Prices have skyrocketed from thrift to antique shop. Usually go to NE Phila location. Much cleaner. Employees on the rude side in both locations.. Used to be one of my favorite aces to treasure hunt. Will be moving on.

Went here looking for a few themed shirts for an upcoming family trip (such as a beach themed shirt) and managed to find what I needed at a great price! Downside, their fitting rooms are closed. You can only purchase and return for store credit... This is a horrible policy. Checkout was very odd, and I got yelled at for not taking the hanger off quickly enough? Can't I just check out and put the hanger up then? Won't return, I'll go to a non-profit thrift shop... Not a for profit one that tries to present itself as the alternative.

Employees Hook up there friends or connections outside the door of backroom to give them all the good stuff. Jerseys. Vintage tees. Games. These customers camp at the door and wait for anything that has value and the employees allow this to happen and also help them. Also garbage selection of men's shoes wouldn't be surprised if good pairs get back doored.

Wanted to look for some nice dressier shirts to wear and expand my current wardrobe. Bought 5 fairly high-end shirts and thought I would drop about $50. My already discounted finds were another 25%-50% off! So I spent about half of what I initially thought.

This was and still could be a wonderful thrift store. However, much to my dismay as of three weeks ago they went from having two differed colored tags on items 50 percent off to one. Today it was silver. After sifting through hundreds of shirts, pants , etc there were literally no items with silver tags. This is supposed to be a nonprofit organization. All of their items are obtained for free from donations and clean outs etc.Are the corporate officers not making enough money for themselves. It’s reeks of greed. The staff is friendly and they work very very hard. For minimum wages. It’s sad.

I've been going here since they opened. I went there the other day and now they have only one color. And you couldn't find any of the color that was half off..And the shirts go from 6.99 all the way to 14.99.. I can go to Macy's on sale for that price..They are getting a little greedy..the shirts should all be one price..this is not a thrift store if you see shirts 7.99 to 14.99...who is pricing this stuff.. I noticed also was a little empty not many customers ..I walked out and went to Goodwill... Ridiculous..I wrote to corporate too...

This place really surprised me. I was expecting another Goodwill, but this place was awesome! It's HUGE, everything is separated by type (sleeveless blouses, long sleeve blouses, activewear sleeveless, activewear pants, sleepwear, jeans, dress pants, dresses) and then separated by size. So easy to find the right section to look in for what you want. The prices were very fair (and when I got to the check-out, the prices that were on the tags were actually higher than what the final check out price for each item was (not sure if it was a sale day, this was my first time here). The shoe selection was great, in popular styles and popular sizes. Fitting rooms available, the place is organized and spacious. Also, Carlos the cashier was super friendly and very nice. Really great experience, will definitely be back!
