Nice property with pretty much everything I want in a hotel for business travel. Hot breakfast every day and complimentary coffee around the clock. All rooms have a fridge and microwave. I have stayed here at least a dozen times in the past 10 years.Food & drinks: There is a Cracker Barrel, an Applebee’s, and a McDonalds within walking distance but, if you have any time at all to spare, take a 10-minute drive to DiPaolo’s in Penns Grove for some of the best Italian food in NJ and, if you go with daily specials, the best Italian food prices in the State. Closer and much more basic is the Deepwater Diner, open 24/7 and serving good food at bargain prices. These are my two go-to places to eat when I stay in Pennsville at the Hampton Inn.

The cleanliness was poor. Cleaning staff most definitely need either further training, or to be fired. It was REALLY bad. Day manager was nice though; you could tell she had a lot of responsibility and little help.Food & drinks: The fact that it is across from a Cracker Barrel, Applebee's and has a Wawa close by makes dining choices easily available.

Had no internet, so was not able to get much work done. Don’t recommend this location if you need

Very conveniently located along I-295, the service was very good and the rooms are clean. That said, the wifi was nonexistent, the Verizon signal is only one bar 4G, the TV viewing options were very limited (no HBO and no cable news channels), and the desk chair was so wobbly and completely unusable. Though they brought up a stationary chair from the lobby, the desk lamp bulb had burned out.

Such a quite and restful stay. We stayed 2 nights and were never woken up with hallway noise!! The hotel was very well maintained & the room was very clean, spacious & comfortable. The mattresses & bedding all looked new & well laundered. Staff members were very friendly and accommodating. I don't usually comment on our hotel stays but this one was exceptional.

Just wanted to drop a kind word for the hotel staff.A few months back, my son & I broke down late one night with a flat tire, on our way back from a concert in Camden, NJ. Unfortunately, AAA had a 6 hour delay & there weren't any rooms available. I didn't want to inconvenience them by waiting in the hotel lobby, so we waited in in the parking lot for our ride, for over 2 hours. The night supervisor was totally understanding, he even let us leave the keys at the front desk for AAA to pick up the next morning.I was totally beside myself! Being hours from home, totally helpless & having to leave our keys & car behind.Thank you all for being so kind & trustworthy! It goes to show there are still good hearted people out there. Thanks again!

The hotel was run down and very dirty. We arrived late, after a 5 hour drive. The first room given to us didnt have a curtain/shade. Just the sheer blinds. The curtain was laying on the HVAC unit. The room had missing pictures/mirrors. The hooks/brackets were still on the wall. Many scrapes along the walls as well. They gave us another room, saying it was the last one available. It was after 1am and we needed a curtain on the window so we could sleep in a bit in the morning. This room was dirty and bathroom was gross. Looked like an institutional bathroom. bare light bulb hanging from the wires in the ceiling. Toilet was dirty inside and there were hairs in the sink. The doors/door frames and knobs were dirty. Literally hand prints and filth. Got some Lysol wipes from downstairs and cleaned up a bit. We just wanted to sleep since we had a 6 hour drive the next day. Carpet had stains, these walls also had gouges and scrapes. I will never stay at this location again.

Great location for a quick stop off the highway. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly.Tip: Odd number rooms don’t back onto the highway. :)

I’m absolutely outraged. The reservation was offered at a rate of $184 per night which we thought was a decent price as we’re only in town for one night. We put our card information in and it charged us almost $300 showing a breakdown AFTER we had paid that included a tax and fee charge of OVER $100. I understand there will be taxes and fees on the reservation but why could they not show us this BEFORE making the reservation. It is also a non refundable cancellation policy so we’re now stuck paying almost double what we would’ve paid at another nearby hotel. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible customer service on their part. Will not be staying with them again in the future.Noteworthy details: Very deceiving prices with booking. Didn’t show price with the over $100 fees until after taking card information and charging us. Also non refundable cancellation policy.

Stayed here for a single night. The service is the best hotel service out of any of the hotels in Pennsville. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. I got a two beds room. Room was clean. No dirt. Cold room temperature but fixed it to a cool warm breeze. The bathroom wasn't so nice though. The showerhead frame broke when I was showering and the floor can be incredibly wet because the shower curtain isn't very good. But the bathroom is clean and neat.Breakfast is very good but can be crowded sometimes.Definitely a nice hotel to stay at. I recommend Hampton for every vacation/visitRooms: Rooms are very neat and clean. Shower isn't that great but bathroom is still clean. The beds are super comfyNearby activities: There are a few restaurants and fast food joins nearby. McDonald's. Crackerbarrel. Wawa. Burger king. Applebee's.Walkability: You can easily walk around the hotel and there is a chair outside to sit on. Big parking lot and restaurants nearbyFood & drinks: Breakfast is pretty good. Toms of options like bread/toast. Eggs/omelettes. Cereal. OJ, milk, coffee, water, and biscuits.Noteworthy details: You can buy food items like candy and energy drinks with cash or card. In the lobby.

I don’t write these reviews very often but felt I should here. Our room had ants - when we woke up there were ants throughout the bathroom and ants crawling around the furniture and our luggage. Otherwise the hotel appeared fairly modern and likely would have met our needs without complaint. Even without the ants, this is a two star hotel. Upside is it’s right off the highway and next to Applebees, Wawa, Dunkin, fast food. Nice hot breakfast in the am. Staff was nice - contrary to other reviews I’ve read about this place.Rooms: Rooms were average. Adequate and met our needs but had broken items. A window curtain shade didn’t work. A cabinet door was broken. The tv screen was smeared. The bath door was filthy. Wall thermostat not operable. Plus the ants that I mentioned. Other hotels prioritize these details. This one doesn’t. Had it not been for the ants, I’d still likely return when passing thru because of location.Nearby activities: Convenient for anyone traveling as there’s sit down/take out food right next door, a Wawa with gas and food across the street and a Dunkin for coffee.

I have been staying in many of the Hampton Inn hotels, this one was the worst so far. It is not just old, it’s very dirty. Broken shower head, broken bathroom outlet (so you won’t be able to use hairdryer), stain everywhere…

im being generous with the 2 star rating , rooms small for the price , pet friendly was the best thing , with the exception of being on the 4th floor and instead of charging me a 1 time pet fee , my cc was hit everyday with the 80 dollar pet fee , system glitch , after speaking to the so called manager michael , said it was a system glitch , although i am being refunded ( account still hasnt seen the return ) . my advice , take extra ten minutes if traveling south and find a place in delaware , and if you are travelling north , make the drive to exit 10 and stay at the holliday inn express , if my money isnt my account by this friday , i will show up there in person , you had no problem taking the money out of my account , but it never seems to go right back in , also my advice check your receipts and make sure they didnt hit your card for xtra fees , most people dont check it cause they are in a hurry , i wonder how many people this happened too , who didnt check the receipts and how much money this company has robbed people of who arent paying attention . definately wont be staying there again anytime soon , ill take my chances at 1 star motel , then this over rated and over inflated prices .
