New update a new experience march 4. I went in to do a wire transfer. I was told there was nobody that could help me and I’d have to wait 30 minutes however there are two people working in the branch that we’re not doing anything. The perception is, lack of caring and lack of people to support client needs. I was told to go to another branch.
I recently deposited a check for a real estate closing at this Wells Fargo branch, where the branch manager and the system confirmed it would clear the following day. However, I received an alert the next morning stating the check would not clear for another week. Had I been informed of this correctly upfront, I would have initiated a wire transfer instead. This poor communication caused significant disruption, forcing me to cancel the check, go to another bank, and wire the funds to meet the closing deadline.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. We have experienced similar issues with this branch in the past, where checks were placed on hold after being told they would clear, leading to bounced funds and further complications.
This time, when I requested a verification letter to be faxed to another bank to verify the check, the branch manager verbally denied my request. This lack of support resulted in multiple trips to different banks and a highly stressful situation to resolve the issue.
Clear and transparent communication is essential, especially when dealing with time-sensitive transactions. I hope the branch takes steps to improve communication and better support its customers going forward.

I am extremely disappointed with Wells Fargo after being scammed out of $14,000. I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Wells Fargo fraud department, stating they were investigating illegal wire transfers by an employee. They said $14,000 was being transferred to a Bank of America account in Piscataway and gave me instructions to “protect” my funds. Following their directions, I ended up being scammed.
I immediately went to my local branch to report the incident. Initially, I was told it could take time to recover the funds. However, I later received a letter stating the investigation was closed because they couldn’t retrieve the money from the other bank. When I asked about my money being insured, I was given the runaround and told to call another number to make a claim, which also went nowhere.
After over 20 years of loyalty to Wells Fargo, I am incredibly frustrated by the lack of help and accountability in this situation. As soon as I have the opportunity, I’ll be closing all my accounts and moving to Chase. I expected far better from a bank I’ve trusted for so long.

outside atm shorted me $30. Instead of giving me a $50 bill it gave me a $20 bill. I immediately went inside and was told to file a claim which I did but how am I supposed to prove this. I don't see me getting my money back anytime soon. if a 20 was in the 50 slot then the machine is going to register that it gave me a 50. This is not the first time that I have had a problem with this branch.

Shorted my deposit $100. After I filed a claim apparently was told I was given $350 and the matter was closed. Hmmm. Where’s the money?

Scammers. They purposely appraised my condo 4000.00 under my remaining loan balance when i was trying to refinance. When i was trying to come up with the money to do this, they kept trying to push me into opening a wells fargo credit card so i could put that 4000.00 on it in order for me to be able to refinance my home. After alot of worry and stress, i finally went with a small company that my friend uses. Low and behold my home was appraised much higher by them and it didnt cost me a dime. I should've reported wells fargo. What a fraudulent scam!
