Bad Experience &Worse Customer ServiceWhen I arrived at the store, there were less than 10 customers in the store. I wait, place my order and proceeded to step aside and wait on my food. I ordered a 5 piece wing meal with mashed potatoes. 5 minutes go by, so I went and sat in my car while the food was being prepared. Another 5 minutes go by while I’m waiting and I see a guy who ordered right after me walk out with his food. I go back in the store to get my food and I’m told 5 minutes until it’s ready. Ok, fine. I step aside and proceed to wait. 2 more customers that ordered after me walk out with their food, while I‘m still waiting on my food. Mind you, everything I ordered was in the window ready to go. The only thing they had to get from the back was the side of mash and put the rest of the order together. I wasn’t informed of any inconvenience as far as making my order went so I went to the register and asked for a refund. I’ve waited long enough, now I don’t want the food. The young lady working says “Are you sure, it’s ready now”. If that was the case she would have been handing me the food instead of procrastinating on getting me a refund. Aside from her blatantly lying in my face. She rolls her eyes and proceeds to go get a manger for the refund. The manager comes up, didn’t say a word to me not even a simple I apologize for the inconvenience. I soon realized she didn’t say anything because she didn’t speak English, only Spanish. She had to communicate through the cashier about the situation. How is it that you have someone working in an establishment as a manager, that doesn’t speak any English? Or she was being spiteful by not speaking to me in general. Either way it was unprofessional. I was not being rude in any way shape form or fashion. From the time I got there till the time I left I was polite to the staff. With that being the case I don’t see any reason for the delay in service not the attitude I received from the cashier. This was my first time going to this location and will definitely be the last.

I waited 20 minutes for a sandwich. I don't mind waiting, but it was ridiculous when four people who ordered after me (and had large orders) received their food before me. What's worse is that instead of making my sandwich properly, they put TWO bottom buns on the sandwich.

July 9, 2020 Went to this location at 4pm. It was packed and the mens bathroom didn't even have soap. Most of the customers that came inside didn't even have a mask. There was a homeless that came in bothering the customers and myself for some spare change that didn't even have a mask. I was waiting for my food for 10-20 mins and the cooks didn't even have their mask on and one of the workers behind the counter, a male with curly hair, I think I saw Freddy on his name tag, was very unprofessional gave a nasty tone saying he was calling my name 10 times. My food was very very stale, didn't taste fresh. Tasted like microwaved leftovers from yesterday. Management needs to take care of this.

My family and I ate from here recently and trust me I don't recommend eating from popeyes ever its like they all sloppy and unclean the chicken taste like it was over night chicken nasty and disgusting and the ones that taste like it was done to order was raw!!! Popeyes should shut down all location in the states cause its not the first bad experience with them just different county they wack!!

I dnt understand why the employees are wearing face shields they faces were not covered at all. COVID-19 is very serious and everyone shld be wearing face mask not just face shield I will be reporting this to the board of health Monday morning!!!!!!!!! Bc if my family gets sick I will be contacting my lawyer

Service is very slow. The app doesn't work very well (my order was not placed as expected). The food was stale and was inedible. Heard many good things about Popeyes but won't be visiting again.

Thanks Popeyes.. I gladly rate you 4 and a half out of 5 stars! Delicious! Very, very good! When you're in the mood for a great chicken sandwich, cole slaw, red beans & rice, green beans...Cold iced tea or lemonade.. Yes! A great stop right in Perth Amboy, NJ. Friendly, kind service and great food!

Cashier was talking in Spanish to a friend when I walked in, never acknowledged me. I had to ask her if she was open. Then she said come on?. Long line of people. Orders mixed up. One worker doing all the orders, everyone else just walking around looking. Slow, dirty surroundings. Will not go again to this restaurant.

This place provides great service and delightful meals. One of the best restaurant around town. The meals served rapidly and the prices are affordable. I recommend this place.

This spot makes the best chicken sandwiches. I tried diff location but there's come out fres, crispy and so juicy. I've tried multiple Popeyes locations but this spot tops them all. They're clean. They do take long but they're making it fresh so I don't mind

The chicken here is great.. always fresh from my experience, buuuuuuut the service needs a loooot work. Very young staff, and a little unprofessional at times. So it's a gift and a curse cuz again THE CHICKEN IS ROCKING, the fries are usually fresh and I just have no complaints about the food. Just be patient and you're good. I'd definitely recommend this location to others and will be returning.
