AC in my car was broken, took it here (first time customer) against my better judgement. I had already told the woman on the phone that the freon wasn’t the issue, and that I already had a freon charge and it didn’t fix the issue. They then went on to charge the freon and told me everything was all good. My AC was broken the next morning again. Had a different mechanic look at my car and he was able to point out I needed a new compressor. The new mechanic turned my AC on and heard that the compressor was bad, and after further investigating it, the compressor was the issue. I called pitman auto to express my issue with the fact that I was billed for a service I didn’t need and asked for some sort of refund because I was frustrated. The dude I was speaking to then decided to make fun of the new mechanic (you know, the one who was able to correctly diagnose the issue), give me an attitude because I was an unsatisfied costumer due to his services, and then try to tell me to come back so he can fix my compressor…
Anyways, I recommend anywhere BUT here.

Called to see on Monday if they could work on my car. They said they could get to it Thursday. Thursday comes and now I've been pushed back until Monday and given no reason. Pretty unprofessional and a huge inconvienece

Been using pitman auto for a few years. I've scheduled appointments and dropped off in a breakdown situation. Both times they've called same day and let me know what was going on with the car and when it would be done.
They are reasonably priced and don't push the upsell on unnecessary repairs. Would recommend!

I want to preface this review with the fact I am a single father of an amazing little girl. We have one vehicle which is absolutely needed, which I stressed to Pitman Auto. I waited two weeks for an appointment, because I was told they are the best. I brought my truck in I made sure to explain my issue 100%. I
made sure that they noted and were well aware that my issue would occur in the mornings and late at night whenever the weather would change causing condensation. I get a call on Friday five days after I dropped my truck off around 3 PM. I get told I can come pick the truck up. Obviously I’m excited because I’m thinking my truck is now fixed. I pay almost $300 for a part that at most cost $20 on the high-end. In my head, I justified The cost because now my truck was “fixed.” Saturday night I leave a family members house in the late evening with my 15 month old. I bet you won’t guess what happened?? My truck broke down in the middle of Harrison township (which is a lot of woods and no cell service). Now I was stranded with a baby in 35 degree weather with no cell service. I was lucky that a stranger stopped and asked if we were ok. Luckily they had service and called a tow truck for me. So now I’m another $240 in the hole and my truck was still not fixed on top of waiting 2 weeks for them to look at my truck and another week to not fix it.
***I would highly recommend you find another shop and NOT bring your vehicle to Pitman Auto. The worst part is I told them to take their time and fix my truck because it was imperative that it did not break down because my little girl is with me. I am incredibly disappointed. I waited over a month to write this review because I’m not normally someone who writes them.
Also I took my car to real mechanic who diagnosed the issue in 10 minutes. He told me all he had to do was try and start it in the morning and he knew right away what the issue was. I don’t believe Pitman Auto listened to my issues and concerns, because if they had I imagine they would have easily found the issue as the other mechanic had so easily done.

The new guy Rob is one of the best and brightest mechanics in the business. Detailed and very clean. Every job is perfect. Really raised the bar for other shops in the area.

Called for price to recharge refrigerant. Was quoted $180 to $230, with about a 2 hour wait time.The work was done in 45 min, and for $130. More than pleased.The technician explained work done.Met the owner and receptionist. Very nice people.This is my new go to repair shop.Service: Auto maintenance
