"Do Not Use Truist"if thinking of opening an account, Truist is not the bank. I was a BB&T banker for many years although they weren't perfect they tried very hard, had managers to talk to, were happy to escalate to higher supervisors when problems couldn't be solved locally. Overall theirs was a solid culture of caring. It's now months since Truist merged with BB&T as well as Sun Trust. Since the merger I have tried 8 Truist banks. This bank was my most recent visit. I called the day before driving 30 miles to do an international wire transfer. No Truist banks are closer. I was told no problem doing a transfer, come if tomorrow. On Thursday I drove to Truist. It was 9:25 upon arrival. Truist opens at 9:00 the doors were locked. There was no sign in any window so I called the branch and a rather rude women answered the phone. She stated she was the only person there, I'd have to come back another day. I explained I had called and was told to come in. I mentioned there were five cars in the employee area and she said those employees couldn't help. I had to drive another 18 miles to a different Truist bank where they were able to make the wire transfer but than made a 3800.00 mistake with a simple deposit . When I called the bank back the teller felt it was no big deal. It would have been cleared up.Other Truist customer service qualities you don't want to support:You can not escalate ANY complaint without writing a US mail letter to the corporate headquarters. Under no circumstances with Truist bank employees give a name, number or email for any manager about their buildingYou can speak to customer service but they have no way to escalate a claim or complaint.1) I have gone to the bank and they didn't have cash for a withdrawal.2) I have driven to a bank and was told the wire person was out with COVID. No one else could handle a wire3) I have driven to a bank and was told the wire person was out on vacation either wait for a week or use another branch. No one else could handle a wire.4) I was told on a Weds, that Monday was the soonest appointment to have a wire transfer done. The one Truist person was to busy until than.5) Bank closed with no signs6) Bank closed randomly with a sign that wasn't clear.8 banks in total from King of Prussia, PA to Mantua NJI asked the last person I spoke with to look at all multiple accounts I have with Truist, once they did I asked if they felt given the asset Truist held on mine that I should be able to aire my complaints before closing these accounts out. The teller said most definately after apologizing but than added there was nothing she could do.Truist, hopefully you will go out of business after I leave your bank. To have 20 or more officers all proudly displayed on your fancy website and not a single one that would speak to any client or a larger client only means you have lost ALL touch of reality in what makes customer service customer service. You can blameMany things on COVID or staff shortages but your hands off approach to managing your merger has destroyed your culture. Take it from a COO and multiple business owner, you need help quickly or you will fail.I hope the hundreds of people who read my reviews will take their accounts out of Truist also. You deserve what you have earned.

I opened this account on May 5. I deposited an income tax check, a money order and a geico check returning my deductible. Income tax checks and money orders do not need 2 weeks to clear! It is now May 13. My funds were supposed to be available today. My balance says $0.00. Called customer service. Got someone in India who told me to "wait until monday to see if it shows up". I guess he doesn’t care because it’s not his money. They will need to return this money as I’m closing this account. Worst banking experience ever.

Very unsatisfied. Unprofessional, rude, and their body language says it all. I closed my account and will NEVER return nor do I recommend. I'm not sure why this bank is even still open, or why they haven't hired new employees. Worst bank i've ever been with.

When going inside and not one other patron is in the bank, it is so very rude for 3 employees behind the counter to not even acknowledge you. If they are in the middle of something. At least have the courtesy to say good morning we will be right with you. Till they are done with the conversation they are having with each other. Extremely rude!

As much as I would love someone to give this woman a talking to, I will leave it here without a name. I will not be returning to this bank. I was very disappointed in my service today. The lady was very unprofessional. I had a few questions and for everyone she had an attitude with. Rolling eyes, huffing and puffing, very little patience. To the lady I will pray for you and hope whatever was bothering you gets better. Good day!
