Staff was friendly. Run down old motel and definitely not worth the price! $487 for a Saturday night?? Ridiculous for what you get! They charge you $15 per day to park! You get 1 spot!! Then they open their back lot on weekends for public to park at $40 per car! My son had to scramble every day to park and moving his car around!? Due to work schedules we could not arrive on same day! Room was old and questionable however clean. Room door did not shut all the way! Extension cord hanging from tv on the wall. Pool was dirty with sand on bottom( I get it’s by the beach) however stayed this way for 4 days! No breakfast but small muffins and coffee.Close walk to the beach is really the only good thing! I would not stay here again! I just booked for Labor Day weekend at another nicer upgraded Point Pleasant Motel that is just as close to the beach for cheaper price double room and does not charge you for parking! Search around for better to enjoy your Point Pleasant stay!

My family and I visited over the long holiday weekend and we had a BLAST!!!Theresa the General Manger was WONDERFUL!!! She really made us feel welcomed! The owner of this property is extremely lucky to have such a professional, dedicated, loyal team!!I cannot say enough about Luz the Director of Housekeeping; she was AMAZING!! She really went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay and enough towels since the pool was a HUGH hit with the kids!Thank you Theresa, Luz and team for such an AMAZING Memory Making Moment for me and my family ❤️.See ya next year!

Charming authentic clean Motel two blocks from the boardwalk with helpful staff. Comfortable beds and remodeled bathrooms. The clean pool (9 feet deep at the diving end) is at the center of the courtyard where the friendly patrons gather. Plenty of restaurants deliver breakfast lunch or dinner for great poolside dining, or short walk to the pier or into town for more good food.Walkability: Short walk to the boardwalk and to the cute downtownWi-fi: The Wi-Fi is super secure but did prevent me from using VPN into my work computer.

Overpriced DUMP. $400 a night during weeknight in July. very expensive. Very dirty. Mold on ceiling from leak that never fixed. Cigarette stains on ceilings. Crud on bed frames. Very broken down. Plugs ten feet high up wall. No microwave that I paid for. Only one chair at dinette. Bathroom in lobby broken. Door to room had huge gap in it. No lock on bathroom door. Bathroom dingy & filthy. Could hear other guests in your room. It was an absolute S - - t hole! Stairs to 2nd floor concrete all cracked & you could see to bottom of 1st floor. Promised continental breakfast. None. Had gross coffee and 1/4 stale muffin they served. Ladies that worked there nice!! Guy was irritable & rude. Talking to him he’d get irritated. I’d give zero stars if I could. It was a huge waste of money. What a terrible place. It should be shut down.

My husband and stepdaughter checked in yesterday Friday and was charge a total of $350. After they came back from shopping and dining, the bedsheets were found with several stains and quite disgusting to sleep in. At the room prices, they can buy cheap sheets. The room had musty smell and overall not pleasant to stay. My husband went to the office around 9pm and was told that if he was leaving to drop the keys. They were forced to drive back home right after. My husband called the office in the morning to complain about the room and tried to get a partial refund. The owner hanged up on my husband. Will file a complaint with state office and attorney general. This is unacceptable.

Stop being such YUPPIES! The place is called a motel for a reason. Half these reviewers must think they are checking in at a Marriot or something. Here's what to expect as I've stayed here 3 times before and I'm coming back this coming week. CHEAP Rooms in close distance to the beach, Great pool! Also expect rooms to feel old and a little cheap and maybe a sheet or two isn't as clean as it should be, maybe your room isn't as clean as it should be.... ok princess maybe next time pay more and go to a place that doesn't have motel in the name. This is a blue-collar motel from the staff to the people who visit. If you go with that mindset I don't see how you can get offended by this place.

If you close your eyes and envision a classic, jersey shore hotel, this place fits the bill. It’s like stepping back in time to the 1960s-70s, which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. The sinks don’t drain so well, that kind of thing. But two blocks from the beach, I’m not sure what else you’re going to find that’s much better.

I checked in on Friday around 3 and checked out Friday evening at seven. The room was absolutely disgusting. The room smelt like mildew, the bathroom was disgusting, the carpets were HORRIBLE.Never would I recommend this stay for anyone . The only good thing is the location, which is THE ONLY REASON why I’m sure they get the business they get.

Basic, but gets the job done! Some upgrades, but furniture dated and falling apart! Blankets and sheets backwards and discovered old cans of Tuna Fish in the drop down ceiling, when I went to fix an out of place panel! Definitely a budget hotel, if passing through! It was incredibly peaceful and convenient especially during the off season! On site manager was great at the time of service, but zero discounts!

First off, I do not suggest going to this beech if planning a vacation. They close the boardwalk at 7pm, stop allowing you in at 5pm.But if you have to come to this beech: This hotel is at a great location, good waking distance to the beach and nearby food. My newlywed wife arranged this as a surprise (because my name) for our honeymoon.Pool was amazing. We didn't get to the beach for reasons described, then bad weather, but pool was comfortable, accessible, and deep. Would have been better with a better diving board or slide, but this was well worth the price range. We declined service, because we don't trust people have had our stuff lose, but they do have safes.

Stayed at the Amethyst for my birthday weekend - rooms were very spacious and had furniture/closet to put away clothes, everything was very clean and sanitized, location was perfect - we were able to walk to the beach/boardwalk. Hotel and Theresa are both 10/10. Going back every summer!
