I’m having a hard time writing this review because I can’t say exactly how this place makes you feel. My mom and I came in today and spent almost 3 hours just looking at every little piece this man has. Dean is by far the nicest person I’ve ever met. We were greeted warmly with a backstory and were given a few rules but nothing crazy! Once you enter you will completely understand why these rules are placed. The store isn’t even a store. It’s more like a museum of this man’s travels and life stories. Every piece has a story behind it. Everything is so meticulously placed. It’s just fascinating. If I could rate this place 1 million stars, I would. We plan on coming back in the springtime to see what he has collected over the winter. Deans stories and kindness are ones I will cherish forever. If you’re in the area or are even thinking about going please go. Even just for the experience!

Very much enjoyed this store and the owner, though store is not quite the right word. Everything has a story and was picked with great care. Everything is also displayed with great care. I am into pots and without a doubt the pots here are most unique and of a quality I have not seen before. I loved everything and wish I had an entire day to spend looking and learning. Thank you Dean for your help, your care, advise, and for the little chat. You touched my heart and my mothers heart with your kindness.

I have been coming to Globetrotter for over 20 years. I use to go to the older location that was devastated by the storm years ago. I am so happy to see that the proprietor has reestablished this location as his new home. It is magical! I understand his precautions and abide by his rules. It's been a long road back to recovery for him. I've purchased some Koi for my garden. I would suggest you imagine yourself going into a museum... because that is what is like entering this very magical place. The cool thing is you can purchase almost anything you see in this beautiful museum.

The most amazing store for gifts, meditation and prayer supplies, furniture, apparel, accessories, and so much more. Passionately construed to be a feast for the eyes and soul, this store supports world artisans. It's not just the most colorful durable pottery planters and garden designs you see when you pass, it's so beautiful inside because it is an endeavor of love.

Been driving by it for years! Always admire the pots outside and the lawn ornaments. Must go inside, absolutely the most amazing collection of art and wonderful things you ever saw! I cannot believe that this man does not charge your mission. Everything is top shelf and the owner is a wonderful warm artist. A real human heart and soul.

Very interesting place. It's like a museum. Dean has an eclectic and tasteful selection of unique goods from all over the world. As an artist, I thoroughly enjoyed walking around and seeing the massive number of items he had accumulated. Many things are original works of art, while others are mass produced.I was, as others have said, instructed not to touch anything and rather to take pictures of anything I was interested in and show them to him. As a ceramicist with extensive knowledge of market trends, I do know that I was quoted some pretty unreasonable prices for some of the items I inquired about, which Dean was not willing to negotiate.I agree with others in that I do feel I made a mistake in being honest and telling him where I was coming from (San Francisco) and what I do for a living (tech) because he definitely quoted me somewhat unfair prices for the slipcast (easily manufactured,) ceramic work I was interested in.In the end however, I was interested in many items and I did make a purchase - I am also an eclectic collector of art from around the world and I understand how much of an investment Dean has made in curating and acquiring his terrific collection - the shipping of these items from literally all over the world certainly cost him many tens of thousands of dollars.Overall, I felt that the premium I paid for the single item I bought was justified in that as a result of my admission to the store, I spent well over an hour perusing his museum-quality collection of decor, sculpture, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and so much more. I must have looked at several thousand items, without exaggeration.I particularly enjoyed the extremely deliberate symmetrical arrangement and color-based grouping of many items, as well as the plaques engraved with some of Dean's favorite literary quotes.

I thought it was just a place to buy various garden planters and statues. When the owner invited us inside, I was stunned to see the vast, beautiful displays of furniture, silks, jewelry, statues, driftwood, figurines, lanterns, rugs, etc., crafted by artisans from countries around the world. It was like a museum and a store all in one. Photos are encouraged. The down side is nothing is price marked and touching items is discouraged. The owner was the only one working but while busy, he was extremely nice, had a good humor and seemed to have had an interesting life before settling on this career. Would love to know more! I will return soon! I have my eye on a few items I did not purchase (yet). Items may not be everyone’s taste or style but still worth an hour or two to just browse. Great for bohemian styles but also any gardener can find something for their yard.

A thoughtfully curated store with many beautiful items. Dean has a beautiful eye. I especially loved the wide array of outdoor ceramic planters in a kaleidoscope of nuanced colors. Pedro was very helpful in helping us make a decision on a purchase. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Bayhead or Point Pleasant.

What a unique store! The pottery and articles from all over the globe are so carefully selected. It is well worth the trip. Be prepared to spend some as there is so much to see and choose from. The new location at 300 Richmond Ave in Point Pleasant has some much more than the old location. They are very COVID conscious for your protection.

Only putting 2 stars in hopes they change their hours on here since they aren’t open anymore. Wasted a long drive up to find a store that is no longer open.
