The entire pharmacy closed for lunch. I arrived shortly after they shut down and formed a line behind one other customer. 4 people lined up behind me. When they re-opened, the pharmacy took the customer in front of me. Then, I stepped to the counter as did a woman who was not in line. The person at the register said that he had to take her because she had been waiting. I explained that I and everyone else in the line had been waiting as well. The person still let the rude woman cut the line. If you are looking for a place that rewards rudeness, CVS on Nassau St. in Princeton is for you.

I got an text confirming a prescription is ready for picked at 1:24 p.m. There is a link in the text that takes me to the CVS website that also confirms the prescription is ready. On the same page, it shows that the pharmacy is opened until 6:00 p.m. I arrived at the CVS at 1:34 p.m. Pharmacy is closed. There is no sign. I only found out the pharmacy is closed for lunch when I asked one of the cashiers. I don't know who is responsible for the website information. But it is more frustrating to get wrong information than no information.

I consistently receive full and supportive attention when my turn comes to speak with both staff and pharmacists. I find them willing to offer guidance and problem solve. I embarrassingly left a medication at the counter today and Shashi reached out to me by phone and offered to hold it until I could return. You don't get much better attention and care than that! I value them as members of my heath team.

The pharmacist is rude and seemingly incompetent. She talks excessively and repetetively, but does not listen and cannot answer simple questions like "Was this prescription filled?" Half of what the pharmacy staff states on the phone is made up because they rarely check to find out what really happened. You will listen to utter nonsense which will be repeated ad nausium. They put back medication without ever notifying the patient that their prescription is ready. They send text messages to land lines, see them get rejected and do nothing. We still have messages from CVS on our answering machine, but apparently this pharmacist does not know how to activate that process. Having watched this pharmacy in action and spoken to the pharmacist, it is frightening that customers rely on them for medical needs beyond filling prescriptions. Look at the mayhem!

They closed off half an isle to administer flu shots because they don’t have a proper designated area to do so. Of course it’s the isle and section I need to get to but I can’t go in until she’s done giving a shot to everyone who was waiting (at least 4 more people). They don’t even have enough room to sit anywhere so we are all just standing right by the pharmacy line taking up more space for those who were tryin to pick up prescriptions. They need to remodel because none of that set up made any sense.

This CVS is crusty. Walgreens on Harrison is worth the drive. Rant down belowThe pharmacist was very rude and dismissive. After canceling my appointment for a vaccine via email, I went into the store for clarification. She kept brushing me off about why they had canceled my appointment. She kept gesturing to other work and had the audacity to tell me, "you can see that i'm busy," when I asked for a clear answer as to why my appointment was canceled.I left not understanding why they canceled my appointment and came back later the same day in hopes of the pharmacist being in an agreeable mood—she was anything but that. Instead, she was very annoyed that I had come back. I am far from argumentative, but I did insist on getting a clear answer for my appointment cancellation; I assured her that I understood she was frustrated but only wanted an answer—she responded with, "you obviously don't understand because you came back." All I wanted was a vaccine or something to provide my employer to explain why they refused to give me one—neither was provided.

Like going to the DMV. They "found" my prescription 8 hours after it was submitted and were "working on it right now". Come back later!

I loved this CVS, and filled my prescriptions there for 20 years. I switched to Walgreens. Most staff members are pleasant, but the store has not been managed well for several years. One example is that the store taxes glucose tablets used to treat low blood sugar. Tablets are considered health products, and therefore not subject to NJ tax. Rite Aid and Walgreens don’t tax them.
