I visited the Princeton location in the hopes of purchasing a treadmill. I'd read such wonderful reviews about the establishment, so I was excited to visit it. When I entered, I was not greeted. Upon my entering, there were 2 men there, customers, to whom which the sales rep (wore a ponytail) was assisting. I could say that I was browsing the treadmill area easily for about 7 minutes before
sales rep even acknowledged my presence. After acknowledging me, he continued hus conversation with the 2 male customers. I can tell you that the conversation was not solely about fitness equipment, but also about bars, Michigan, and being a retired police officer. Now I'm all for friendly customer service, but when you're the only sales representative working, you need to cut the conversation short, so that other possible patrons will not feel disregarded or ignored, which is exactly how I felt. After some time, the rep did come over to me and gave me information about 2 treadmills, preferring one over the other. He allowed me to try the one that he recommended, and while I was on the machine, he told me that he wanted to just go and check the inventory for the item(s) the 2 men were puchasing. By this point, the 2 man were located near the register. Upon meeting the 2 men at the register, the sales rep and the 2 men, once again, began engaging in conversation about the same subject matter I mentioned above. Meanwhile, I was left on the treadmill. I turned it off and tried another one. The rep had never returned to me, but was still at the register engaging the 2 men in conversation. Feeling upset, disregarded, and disrespected, I finally ended up leaving the establishment. Now consequently, both the sales rep and the 2 men (whom were together) were all white men. I am a woman of color. So I'm having a very hard time not connecting my ill-treatment to that fact. Needless to say, I will not be visiting the Johnson Fitness Center again after what I experienced today.

The delivery and assembly of my Matix U30 bike was excellent. The team arrived n time and knew what they were doing. However, no one instructed me on how to use the bike.

Chuck is incredible! He took the time to answer all of our questions, didn’t pressure us at all to make the sale, and even gave us an honest opinion on what he would avoid as a customer. It was so refreshing to have a conversation with him knowing we could trust his insight and experience. In today’s day and age it’s so tough to find trustworthy salesmen, and I would go ahead and recommend Chuck’s fitness store to anyone that asks!

Excellent product advice without any pressure to purchase higher priced products. I purchased an elliptical from them today and a matrix treadmill from them 2 years ago. I keep returning due to the great customer service and competitive pricing.
