HiI was charged for the rental insurance 117 $ even though I declined to take the rental insurance. I called representative 2 times and the office location . No/poor response. lootersCould you please look into it?

Do not go to this hertz rental or any other for that matter. I had the worst customer service experience when I arrived at 8am to retrieve my rental. The representative did not show up to work for another 45 minutes. And this is after I called the phone number posted and the person kept saying that the representative will arrive in 5 minutes and is stuck in traffic. I called 3 separate times with them lying to me. The representative did not show up for 45 minutes. Then she drove up with the car I would be renting. It was not cleaned out and it had only 25 miles left prior to me needing a charge. The car should have been cleaned and fully charged. I did not request an electric vehicle and when I asked for a gas vehicle because I do not have time to stop and charge it because I had a meeting to attend in Boston. She claimed there were NO other cars for me to rent. She stated if I wanted to switch the vehicle I could drive to the New Brunswick site to see if they had any other cars. I was told the charge would take 15-20 minutes and when I arrived at a super charge station I was there charging it for 35 minutes. I had to stop several times to charge the car (which took over 25 minutes each time) on my way up to Boston missing my meeting. I was told I would be compensated for the worker not showing up on time for work and coming 45 minutes late, I still have not been compensated for this experience and I have been in touch with Hertz serval times already.

Hertz should just close this location…they always have a reason to either cancel your car or move you to another location….the service here is bad, they call you 30 mins before pick up to tell you they don’t have your rental.

Worst car rental company ever. Keep distance.Hertz takes your money online for reservation and as soon as you are on location, they tell you you cannot rent as soon as you are picking your car because the credit cars you paid with is not accepted.

They don't have pick up drop, even I asked them to drop just a block away but they have refused.I submitted the car 3 days back but didn't get the refund

If I could do zero stars, I would. I am working a contract job temporarily, and am being relocated. I requested to drop off my rental car one week early, at a location that is only 30 miles different from where I picked it up, and they are trying to charge me over $3000 to switch locations and drop it off early. The man on the phone kept pushing me despite me telling him “no”, to allow him to continue with the process to charge my card. They were not understanding of the situation at all, and were rather aggressive about it, especially when I wanted to inquire as to why the fee was so expensive. Be aware! Worst customer service!

Location is temporarily closed, but shows open. Other businesses in the same building say they don't come around a lot. Unrealiable location.

I had the most heartening experience at this agency yesterday. I was looking for an address nearby to pick up my grandson at his school bus. My gps was not showing a map in the cloudy, rainy weather and I could only remember some landmarks during my arrival by taxi the previous night. Also, I couldn't find the high beam on the rental car. Initially, I went to the gas station on the corner. They're supposed to help travellers in distress, right? They heard my problems and sent me across the street because "there was a car rental agency there which could help me" ( not mine as it happened this time). So I walked in for help at Hertz. Trevor at the front desk, greeted me pleasantly and asked how he could help. He recognized the street name I wanted; pulled out his cell phone to confirm directions ( 2 minutes from there if you knew the way). Then he put on his cap and walked over in the rain with me to my car, parked literally by the front door of the gas station, and showed me where to turn on the car lights. Before he left me he reviewed my route and reminded me that we had just over-ridden the automatic lights. I would have to switch back when I arrived. It was a perfectly competent, helpful and generous effort. This Hertz agency defines a good neighbor. I am happy for the people who live here. I got to my grandson's bus on time.
