About us Picture Established in 1939, Peterson's Nursery has developed from a roadside produce stand to a full service garden center and landscaping company. What started with a 6 year old selling blackberries in front of his family home, has turned into a second-generation family business located on nearly 8 acres of land bordering Princeton and Lawrenceville, NJ. We still carry fresh local produce, much of which is grown onsite. Peterson's Nursery has been at the forefront of 'organic' gardening for decades. In the early 1980's we eliminated chemical pesticide spraying of our plant inventory and made the switch to beneficial insects, including everybody's favorite, the Ladybug!
