“My family ran a lumber yard and I worked there during the summer one year so I always love to visit a place like this. Motown Lumber has been in business since 1928, and it's a wonderful old-time shop. That said, it's well-stocked to provide you with the necessary materials and tools. The staff here cares about helping their customers, super helpful and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.”
“Couldn't get what I needed at the other place so I drove the extra 20 minutes to get to Lowe's. They had the parts I needed to fix my sink. They usually have what I need and I don't have to wait weeks for it to come in. Just wish it was a little closer to both houses.”
“The last time I went to Netcong Hardware was maybe 10-15 years ago. Staff was very helpful finding what I wanted, and the store had a very old-school vibe even back then. But I remember buying concrete blocks for a science fair project WAAAY back when I was a kid and Netcong Hardware was still in Netcong on Maple Street where Family Ford is now. I think it moved to Stanhope sometime around 1980 or 1981. Wonderful to see an old legacy business still in operation after so many decades.”
“Needed 2 screws that were missing from a product I ordered critical to the install. Called them up just to be sure they had in stock and they confirmed in a few seconds. Headed over and back home within 10 minutes, much better than driving for a while to HD hoping they would have in stock.Wide variety of other products as well and will be a first option in the future.”

“A wonderful experience! We had been trying to find a place that did curbside propane exchange - all the big box stores expect you to go in and pay still! I was shocked no one was offering a true curbside propane exchange. Station Hardware made it super easy, the young guys working here are so nice and helpful, and we were in and out in 5 minutes. I also got a bag of potting soil, they loaded our car and ran my card inside; we got everything we needed quickly and efficiently. Thanks for offering this, we will be back :) highly recommended!”

THIS MAN CHILD PROVIDED INCORRECT INFORMATION, WAS RUDE, AND REALLY NEEDS SOME TRAINING. I was told originally my items were in stock, the error was detected and Tess worked with the Butler store and scheduled to have my order picked up and brought to Mt. Olive for delivery to my home as scheduled. I was told it never shipped from Butler. I asked Brian to reach out to Butler to see if I could have my original delivery date. HE REFUSED, SAID MY ORDER WITH MT.OLIVE WAS CANCELLED AND HE HAD NO CONTROL OVER WHEN BUTLER WOULD DELIVER. WHEN I QUESTIONED THIS HE RESPONDED "IM GOING IN TO DO THREE INTERVIEWS AND DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS". I drove to Butler where I was assured the materials had been picked up yesterday by Mt.Olive. I shared my struggle with Zuly and Scott from Butler. They immediately arranged for materials to be delivered from their store on my original date. There are professional, kind people everywhere and the there are BRIAN'S. I returned to Mt. Olive and had the displeasure of meeting Brian in person. He was just what I expected. He denied having my order, denied it was picked up and didn't even think of going to the back for a look. BRIAN NEEDS TRAINING. I WISH HE COULD BE OBSERVED BY CORPORATE, BRING BACK SECRET SHOPPERS...WEED OUT THE BRIANS.Update: look Brian, Scott from the Butler store did your job.”

“Great people and a great company! Every time I go in there I feel like I’m part of the true value family and not just a customer and that goes a long way. The store is always clean and organized, the customer service is Impeccable, and the prices for their products are fair. They are always there to help and are also very honest. I went in needing a special bit for some lag screws that either came in a pack of two or in a box of screws. They didn’t have any of the two packs so instead of making me drive all the way to Home Depot they took one out of a screw box and told me that he’d sell me a 2 pack, give me the one from the box , and when the 2 packs of bits came in he’d save me the other bit. A month passes (I completely forgot about the bit) and Eric hands it to me. That’s what I mean by great customer service, I completely forgot about that bit and wasn’t even going in there for that but he did. I will always keep bringing them my business and highly recommend them to everyone !”
“This has been the trusted hardware store over the years. It's gone through quite a few renovations over the past few decades and still has what you need when you are fixing that electrical outlet or you need a new spray nozzle for your hose. It's the place to go if you need 1 & 1/2-inch wood screws when all you have is 1/2-inch nails. You come here if the Drano is not doing the job and you need a snake for the sink. In the fall, you'll get your metal rakes here to clear the fallen maple leaves in the yard (I prefer the plastic ones). If you are skateboarding behind the Walgreens (formerly Rite Aid), you can easily pick up new nuts or a wrench to secure your wheels to the trucks for a smoother ride. This hardware store has what you need to keep that garden healthy, from shovels, soil, and various garden tools. Last but not least ... Propane ?”

“My contractor recommended that I go to Moe’s to purchase the fixtures for my three bathrooms. I met Gary B and I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience and how easy Gary made it for me to select all of the items needed from sinks, faucets, toilets, bathtub and medicine cabinets. I did my research and Gary made his suggestions on what he thought best for my needs. When I questioned him on his selections, he gave me a detailed explanation on his choices…..and every time I selected what he recommended.As I knew how busy they can get at times I was sure to make an appointment and Gary was on time and never did I feel rushed during our multiple meetings. Once items were ordered, Gary was sure to tell me the correct time for delivery dates. There were no glitches and I am extremely happy to recommend Moe’s not to mention – Gary is one of the most pleasant and best reps I have ever worked with.On a final note I must commend the entire staff – no matter how many times I called every person I spoke with was extremely pleasant and willing to help.”

I was completely overwhelmed, but Trish was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she took the time and listened to what was important to me. She designed a kitchen with maximum storage space and it turned out perfectly! She made suggestions that I walked in thinking I didn't want (over the range microwave, crown molding to the ceiling to name a few) and I'm so happy I listened to her! Her experience enabled her to be confident in her recommendations, and she created a kitchen that I absolutely love!
