As POA for my cousin I provided all requested documentation to the bank. Since February I've tried to get a copy of his IRA Retirement 1099-R form so that I could complete his 2023 tax return. Multiple phone calls, numerous promises, no 1099. I've filed a grievance with the Federal Reserve in an attempt to resolve this issue. Once resolved I will be closing all my cousins accounts and move on to another bank,

I just wanted to share how helpful a man named Pat is! I had accidentally transferred money into a wrong account and called frantically hoping they could help me reverse it. He went above and beyond to help me. He has called me multiple times with updates as to how he was able to help me get it reversed. I was honestly in shock that he followed up with me because I figured no one would. His customer service is beyond amazing and I just want to thank him for all his help. Pat deserves a raise for his hard work!! Thanks again for all you help Pat!!!

Usually deal with banks online, but for some reason M&T required me to go in-person to redeem a bonus offer. I explicitly said multiple times I was there to redeem the offer and even showed the exact email and offer code. Well turns out they opened my account without putting the offer in so now I have a useless account and can't close it yet otherwise I will have to pay $50.

M&T bought out hudson city savings in 2015 . I started with them in the early 1980's. Safe deposit boxes.

It’s extremely annoying that this bank is not open on Saturdays . I have cds that are maturing and I can’t make withdraws cause I work during the week. I will definitely be closing my accounts

Loved it more when it was Hudson City savings bank but m&t staff are very helpful and courteous and always go above and beyond
