The dealership never made good on the issue, nor did they even offer/attempt to rectify our concern. They instead said basically "you signed the papers" after the paperwork was done. BBB complaint filed resulted in them giving a generic BS response, which they didn't even follow up on when it was rejected by us. I feel sorry for anyone else that falls victim to their bait and switch sales tactics that they pulled on us costing us thousands.

Recently my wife and I purchased a 2023 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve at Performance Ford. It’s a fine car in every detail. However, after driving the Nautilus for a week or two, we noticed the sound of rushing air coming entering the car, especially at speeds above 50mph. All the windows were closed, so where was this sound it coming from? We brought the car into the service department and complained about the unusual “wind” noise. Nuno, the shop manager, had his most experienced tech check the car for any likely faults. Several possible fixes were initiated including adjusting the side mirrors, checking the front wheel wells, and resealing the windshield. Nothing would fix the issue. Nuno then assigned John, a service advisor, to our case to resolve the issue once and for all. John stepped up and took personal responsibility for our issue. He arranged for a Field Service Engineer from Ford to come in and thoroughly examine the Nautilus to discover the cause of the “wind”. No detail was overlooked. The FSE studied the car and recommended totally replacing the windshield and the A-pillars supporting the windshield. After this was done, we got a call from John that the problem had been identified and was now fixed. I drove the car, and indeed it was fixed, no more wind noise! Many thanks to Nuno, John, and everyone who finally resolved this problem which apparently originated when the car was built.Tim Kelly,Long Valley.

Service here was amazing. Was looking for a car for a few weeks until I found this dealership. Staff made the process so easy and quick. No overcharging or market adjustments on their vehicles. If you’re in the market don’t waste your time going anywhere else.

Took my car in for an oil change and brakes and complained about a sound my car was making although it took some time because they don’t have enough staff. It was fixed! Everyone was more than helpful, friendly and professional, especially Jon the service consultant who helped me every step of the way. My only recommendation is that you give this location more staff they definitely need it and deserve it!

Had a very disappointing experience. I have been a long time customer of Performance Ford. Purchased a Ford Edge liked the vehicle so much that I upgraded after the lease was up to a Lincoln Nautilus. The Lincoln was great, purchased after the lease ended. That was a painful high pressure sale to buy extra services and extra fees. But I got through it.Towed our F150 to the dealership and in fairness to Performance we did not have an appointment. They promptly called to ask what the issue was. They told us it could be two weeks before they looked at it. That was fine.Six weeks later after numerous calls, conversations and responses like..oh I just spoke with the service manager we should get I in soon, it will come in hopefully today, we will figure it out and call you. They ran some “tests “ looks like it has to do with the four wheel drive. We will get you a quote. That never happened. All along I explained to the team there. If you can’t get to it please let me know, I can’t go any longer with out a car. I will have to tow it. I told them this three times.My wife stopped in on a Friday and they said oh it’s scheduled to come in on Monday.We have heard that before. Decided to cut our losses and tow the truck to Fred Beans Ford in Washington. A bit of a drive but it was worth it. They diagnosed the problem in a day and it had nothing to do with the four wheel drive. One day to get parts and the truck was ready to go on the third.They even sent us a pdf quote via email and text and have real time service tracking via your phone.I would have been totally fine if they were up front and said they couldn’t get to it. I would have towed the truck and saved the time to write an unfavorable review.Mark TFlanders, NJ

When I put my car in for service I always know John will take great care of me he is amazing. He always answers all for my questions great service. Richard is also amazing when he picks up my car and takes it for service. I don't have to take a day off work to have my car service its the best.

Completely incompetent service department with questionable ethics. Ownership could, obviously, care less when this issue was brought to its attention and sales department, apparently, believes that I work for it as they continue to contact me to assist them in finding new customers.Brought vehicle I purchased there to be serviced on TWO separate occasions (because the first one, obviously, did not resolve the issue). They did, however, manage to charge a combined $1300 to “resolve” the issue that they never resolved. I brought the same vehicle with the same issue to Maplecrest in Vauxhaull (Union) who was, within 2 hours (as opposed to the over 6 hours provided to Performance), able to resolve the issue.Should change the name of the dealership to POOR Performance to more accurately reflect what you can expect.

Terrible experience in service department. My car has been there OVER A MONTH for a recall and a broken mirror. Not happy at all. They never return my calls and when they do they have pointless updates - if you want an update on your car you have to call and sit on hold for an hour just for them to tell you basically nothing and your car isn’t ready. Do better performance ford

My truck was sitting in service for about 2 weeks before the actuality looked at it. My service advisor did not return my calls, and gave me time he would call and never did. When I picked my truck up there was something on the bumper. He acted like he didn't care. After telling me it was there and it may be something the fell from the sky, he pulled a prints photos taken and although not clear he said he would look at them on the iPAD. He then told me he would call the next day. Just like expected, no call so no resolution. Also after having my truck for about 2 weeks and needing to cancel a labor day vacation they still had the stones to charge me a diagnostic fee. If you need service head to Family Ford in Netcong. I was looking to buy my wife a new vehicle from Preformance but after this service experience. Family Ford here I come!

My wife and I stopped in here a few months ago to browse some vehicles for her. This is the second time over the past 10 years or so that we have visited this dealership.After leaving their lot without making a purchase on both occasions they proceeded to make follow up calls to see if we were still interested in purchasing a vehicle. Of course this is standard practice for most if not all dealerships. However, they have made so many follow up calls that they have likely rang my wife's number more times in the past 2 months than I have in the past 5 years.The salesperson (who I will further reference as AG to respect his privacy - take a note on this, AG) usually calls 2 to 3 times a week. If we are lucky, AG will call us 3 times in one day. AG has multiple lines to call you from, so you never know if it is him and you can't block his number because it rotates with each call.I personally spoke with AG about a week and a half ago while I was away on vacation. I explained to him that we were no longer in the market for a vehicle with them, that I appreciated his diligent effort to make a sale, and wished him good day.AG then proceeded to call my wife again today with the same message as before.Going forward, we'll reward each follow up call with another 1 star review.

Had a 2011 Mustang GT brought in for a noise, was told it needed engine work for almost 6,000 dollars. I originally refused & considered to sell the car. Service Manager convinced me to fix it saying “its worth it since it’s a nice car” went on vacation & when I came back, I picked up the car & the same noises occurred. Brought in & was told the car needed a new Engine, that it would cost 15,000 dollars to repair. Nothing was done to fix this issue, they only offered 500 dollars to buy the car. Had to sell the car to a different dealer for almost nothing.

Just renewed my second lease through Performance Ford. My opinions and review are unsolicited.Nothing but good things to say about my experience here. Jimmie the salesmen kept the whole process easy and had the opportunity to meet the general sales manager Jim and the VP Doug who were both very helpful and persistent in finding me the perfect F150 for my business and the best pricing offered in the area.I’ve sent a few of my clients there already in the past & I’ll continue to refer others there. Do not let the few bad reviews posted deter you from allowing yourself a chance to experience what this facility has to offer. I stand behind my statements. Thank you PF for helping me into my F150.
