This is a solid fitness club with wide variety of amenities , equipment , and space . It can be a bit crowded during peak hours, and overall is a little past its prime , but it's a solid fitness center for the price . IMO some childcare hours , and a little updating could make this an easy 5 star club

The reason why I joined this gym is because it had kids club. (Keep in mind, this is a very expensive gym in the area). The kids club is permanently closed and they don't allow your kid to sit near and watch cartoon while you're on treadmill (and can see your kid easily). So this is kind of discriminating against parents who need to exercise but have no other options to leave the kid with somebody. They basically advertised something that they can't deliver.

The quality of the facility & equipment has deteriorated. Maintenance of broken equipment is nonexistent. No follow up by management.

When people feel entitled! Holding down several machines or equipment with personal belongings and nothing done about it. I pay membership as well as everyone there but asked to get off a machine because someone stationed their stuff while on another machine.

In the process of choosing a new gym. Made an appointment to get a tour of Esporta in Raldoph. The place and equipment looked acceptible, the guy giving us the tour did a passable job but couldn't answer a question I had and we walked over to the reception desk to ask someone else. The guy sitting inside the desk area had his feet up on the desk and a toothpick sticking out of his mouth. He expertly answered my question with a "No, idea what you are asking about" without even disturbing his posture or his toothpick. Hence, this confirms my suspicion of the quality of the management the place which was also stated in other reviews.

LA FITNESS/ ESPORTA STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! My son, who just graduated high school last year, decided to do his 1st real adult purchase by getting a membership here in October of 2022. They talked him into getting a personal trainer. $33.06 for a monthly membership and $462 per month for a personal trainer. He tried cancelling the membership but they told him that he still has to pay for the rest of the year. It is now April and he is about $3,500 in the hole with this place. I found out a month ago and immediately reported his card lost. This did not work because he had signed a contract. April 26th both payments were taken out of his account again, even after I had called to cancel his membership. We are now going to the bank to close out his accounts. This company preys upon the naive. My son is legally an adult but is still too young to know any better. I wish that I had learned of this earlier, I would have acted much faster. At his age, he is trying to establish credit for his future but, instead, has to keep on paying overdraft fees and late payments. LA Fitness/ ESporta, you should be ashamed of the way that you conduct business, especially when dealing with younger clientele that have no clue of the repercussion's of that signature. I will tell everyone that wants to hear about how badly you absolutely suck. I hope that this is the beginning of your failure as a company.

If there can be zero stars i would give it to them. Operations staff is very rude and arrogant. My wife has enrolled for march and april month swim training on february 22nd and her fees of $122 was deducted, on enrollment form which i filled online it was mentioned that i have to cancel the enrollment before 10 weeks if i do not want to extend my monthly classes. Very First class on march 10 was cancelled due to some trainer issue. On match 10 they sent an email saying if only i have completed 2 classes and i do not want to extend classes for may month then i have to click on google link to cancel it. Since my wife has not completed any class on that day she could not cancel it. On march 13th they again deducted $97 and i assumed they took march and april month fees so i was okay. Now on march 31st they ask me to pay $97 again and when i call they say they have deduced fees for april and may and now they want it for march month. I told them i do not want it for may month and asked them to cancel may month and how can u first deduct for may month and not for march month?Staff who was very arrogant says i should have cancelled may month enrollment on march 10 when they send email which clearly says i can cancel if i have completed 2 classes. Also while enrollment i was told to cancel before 10 weeks of training. Staff i talked to told me very rudely that i owe them this money and i can do whatever i want they want refund or adjust may month fees. Also i enrolled for parsippany location since it is convenient to me and now they are asking me to come to randolph location which is far to me. Ideally they cant change location and refuse to return money if person do not want to go other location which is far.To me this is fraud. I recommend not enrolling for there classes and find people who are genuine.

Staff is awesome and always friendly. Unfortunately it's seems most members don't respect the gym and never put there weights back. I have been here for 2 years and it's just getting worse. It's very frustrating.

Would give negative stars if I could. I don't know how anyone would give 5 stars. Here's a list of why this gym sucks on top of the fact that I TRIED TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AT 5:38 pm on a Monday and the staff said I had to come back between 9-5 to cancel my membership because a manager had to be there.1. Weights are never put back in correct place2. Benches are too close to weight rack- not enough space3. Machines and equipment are old and rusted- not in a good way - especially lat pull down machines.4. 75% of the time you won't be able to find the correct grip from cables. And rope grips are absolutely disgusting. What are they $15 to fix? Haven't been replaced in years.5. Staff unfriendly when bringing guests.6. Gym has an unlimited 2 guest policy which means it's crowded with teens all the time7. Basketball court is the main reason I joined this gym specifically. Not worth it - court is extremely dusty.8. Bathroom stalls/urinals never clean - lightbulbs not replaced. Always one out of order.9. Turf is small10. No deadlifting platforms11. Only one cable row machine - rusted and in bad shape.12. Requested my girlfriends ID every other time I brought her as a guest - even tho she's in the system and already had a photo of her and her info.

Yes, I signed a cancellation policy. However, if there's anything I thought businesses learned through this pandemic was that we have to remain flexible within reason. People's comfort levels change based on new information that keeps coming out regarding COVID. I was so happy when I found an affordable option of swim classes for baby & me. However, I should've listened to the reviews on Yelp. The classes were good. However, now that COVID cases have started to rise pretty high again. This strain seems to be hitting very young kiddos a little harder. So, I asked if I can wait to do the next round of parent child classes until case numbers go down again. They don't take any COVID precautions and my child is unvaccinated. They said no... The only thing I can do is "ask the instructor to wear a face shield" (it's not a private class, there are other people). So this means I have to choose between possibly getting sick or wasting my money. I was definitely planning on being a repeat customer, but not anymore. I'll take my business elsewhere, even if I have to pay more.

Came to this awful place from LA in Parsippany which also had a sauna "scheduled for repair". The kid at the front desk "Jay" was a disrespectful individual. Refused to get off his phone. So I left & came to this glory hole. Make this short. Staff, MAINTENANCE, sauna NEVER WORK. OSHA will be notified there was s*** literally in the toilets for days. Very unsanitary. RIP

Things have just been piling up with this gym. They changed the terms of my agreement without telling me. They changed my privileges for my membership without telling me. They keep me paying twice the amount as other people for the same privileges even though that's not what our agreement says. Management is an honest mess. Either they're incredibly fickle or they're extremely incompetent. Constantly telling everyone one thing and then changing it behind everyone's backs. They started changing the hours of volleyball on us. Management won't talk to us either when it's not "office hours". We can't get in touch with their management because everyone works from 9-5 and they refuse to take calls. I'm just feeling helpless, that there's nothing I can do when their management changes whatever they want on us. Feeling really abused as a customer.

First off. The very good! Very clean, very professional staff! Bathroom is ok but it's clean! Over all A on clean and organized and staff! The very bad.... So are you into older silver sneakers members with waddle neck bat arms? Whats your thoughts on hoards of teenager boys who don't rack their weights? That's the client's here...... But if you are living in western nj this is who goes to the gym.... It's not nyc it's not Hoboken its nothing with a view ....

Gym has great equipment but it's an absolute mess. Here's what you'll experience if you decide to go here. No one re-racks their waits and if they do, they re-rack them in the wrong places and just pile them on the floor. There's used paper towels all over the floor everywhere you go especially in the bathroom which rarely has toilet paper or working locks on the stalls. People always spray incense in the sauna so it burns your eyes, so that's not an option half the time. Kids just hang out in the bathroom and don't even work out. Basically no one knows how to clean up after themselves or give common courtesy. With that being said, I'd say find a different gym. Not worth any price for that.
