March 2024 by Olive Ryan Sperber!
Trying to join the chorus of ex-customer voices explaining how terrible this company is. My three major complaints:A) their technician urinated on my house when delivering oil. He thought no one was looking, while I literally watched him from a window directly above.B) their staff gossiped about me to a non-employee and the information they shared ended up in the comments section of a Facebook post I made about how bad the company was.C) they have an "emergency" line that is not monitored 24/7, so my daughter and I slept in 40 degree temps because we needed help/oil on the day that emergencies were not covered. This company is TRASH. Down with Globe Petroleum!

I took out a service contract years ago. The last employee who does the seasonal cleaning retired and the company went for over a year without anyone to service my unit. They never informed me of this. In order get a service contact you must be on auto delivery. This season starts and my unit isn’t working. When I call, I’m told that someone (who just started working there one month ago) will be out. There was a washer/dryer in the way so the person left without doing anything. I was told he couldn’t access the unit. I drove out there immediately (it’s a rental property 3 minutes away) to move them but he was gone. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me until I received a bill, my tank was filled. I was told before the worker came out that there WAS oil in the tank already. I wasn’t scheduled for delivery according to the schedule but they filled me anyway. Now I’m told by another company the unit is shot and can’t be repaired. I call Globe to request that the oil be taken out and was told “we don’t have the means to do that”. To add insult to injury I was told that I must send an email requesting to get off auto delivery. I wrote the owner a separate email to see if there was anything he might do to help me out and he never responded. I’ve been with Globe in my own home since 1998. Once they were sold I did notice a huge change in the quality of how this business is run. I DO NOT recommend anyone using them

They make you sign up for auto delivery if you take out a service contract yet for the last 1 1/2 years they had no one to clean or service any machines. They don't inform you of this but they still keep you on auto delivery. My unit wasn't working so they first sent someone out to see if there was oil in the tank which there was. They preceded to fill the tank anyway knowing the unit didn't work. The person they sent out ( who was on the job for one month only) to see what was going on claimed that a washer/dryer was in the way so I ran over there to move them. He had already left! Please read my Google review as it's more detailed but the bottom line is AVOID using this company Once they were sold the quality of service has gone downhill. In my opinion, I believe that they are a money grabbing company who abuses having your credit card/checking account information. I gave the owner a chance to respond to me before posting my reviews but he has chosen not to.

+1 (862) 346-1188: In this harsh time of Coronavirus people are struggling to make ends meet. Globe Petroleum, (Performance Fuel Oil) unethical practice is to fill your tank, without your permission to line their pockets if you have given them direct access to your financial institution. After years of writing a check, I was talked into going on automatic delivery with payment taken out of my checking account. I did so with the understanding there would be no deliveries between April 1 to the end of September each year. I call the company every March to make sure that they would honor the non delivery of oil after April 1 for the season, I was told this year the March delivery would be the last delivery for the season, and the next schedule delivery would be in September 2020. Please don't make the mistake I did for 8 cents off a gallon, only for them to rob you of your hard earn money because they have access to your financial accounts. I received an oil delivery in May of 2020, when my tank was 3/5 full and the weather has warmed up and I no longer have a need for heating oil. I called the office several times, asking to speak to a supervisor and was told someone would call me back. No one ever did over a five day period Monday to Friday of constantly calling their office looking for an explanation. Their explanation was a bill in the mail stating they were going to EFT my checking account, which does not have the money.I wondered if they did this to all their automatic payment customer accounts, dumping the higher price oil, since oil prices have come down tremendously.Over the years I have endure subpar service when I look back on it, and I've had enough.1) Tank has run dry on automatic delivery several times2) Delivery man not paying attention and overfills tank, spilling gallons of oil on my basement floor. Being so paranoid about it I make sure I'm in the basement when getting a delivery so that does not happen again. Wished I had called the EPA.3) Getting a delivery after I have called the office and requested no more deliveries. This being the second time.4) Getting charged more than what the delivery bill was.5) Several times waiting all day for a schedule delivery, only to be told after several phones calls and after 6:00 p.m., I would have to wait until the next day for a delivery. This company tactics and polices are unethical and they will line their pockets at your expense and they are not trust worthy.
