Do not do business with Monmouth Telecom! My monthly rates quadrupled because I refused to sign a new long term contract with them. Their business practices are unscrupulous!!!

I came into a business that had a contract with Monmouth Telecom. Of all the 100's of vendors that we did business with the only one that I was told had to go was Montel.Their whole attitude to business is outdated and scammy. They force you to sign new contracts that automatically renew for 2 years unless you literally jump through hoops to cancel. (letters sent by certified mail, 60-day notice, etc- what are they the IRS?)I compared their service to several other providers and apples to apples they were overcharged by about 30%. ($570 vs $400 w/a brand new phone system). I asked them to modify my expenses or revise the bill to a more reasonable market rate so I could stay with them but they were not interested at all.They also have outrageous early termination fees- the full price of the remaining contract. In my case, it was almost $5,000. There was no legitimate reason to do that- in fact, my phone's system hardware was so outdated that the manufacturer was no longer offering tech support.Regardless of the details of my story, I would strongly advise you to stay far away from this company as their business practices are permeated with the reek of money grabs and giving zero hoots about their customer's actual needs.I offer fair warning to other customers. Go elsewhere you will be much happier than dealing with these guys.

I really do not get the negative reviews here! Their service and support is hands down some of the best. We have been working with them for several years and have never had an issue they were not able to help us work thru. From sales to installation to support, no surprises. Does sound like there was an over zealous sales person at some point. I would definitely recommend them.

We switched our phone service to Monmouth probably 10 years ago. We use them for both VOIP and regular POTS lines. We have had a truly outstanding experience with every aspect of their service, from the initial implementation to the excellent customer support, and we are saving money over our previous providers. Everyone I deal with is knowledgeable and helpful. I have nothing but good things to say. This is simply one of the best companies I have ever dealt with.

I saw some negative reviews and felt I should weigh-in. My experience with Monmouth Telecom has been outstanding. Their service has been excellent, prompt, and courteous. They assisted us with switching from Windstream (which, in my opinion, should be the company receiving negative reviews). Monmouth Telecom's team was on point every step of the way. Their service thus far has been rock solid. When we've had power outages or problems internally, someone from Monmouth lets me know by opening a ticket right away and reaching out to me - sometimes before I know there's an issue. I'm extremely happy I made the move to Monmouth Telecom and we've had great success with them!

absolutely horrible. Authorities should really take a look at these thiefs. The attorney general must check them out. They hold people hostage and lie on every call. stay away if you do not want to get screwed

Awful company. Have been billing my in laws for several years for dial Up internet service. What a joke!! Taking advantage of a veteran. They should be ashamed of themselves. The CEO himself should respond to this personally and make it right with a large refund.

keeps calling the bushiness after telling them multiple times we're not interested and yelled at me on the phone calling me liar and tried to tell me "damn well you know I called and spoke with someone." Horrible business ethics.

Beware this company. They lock you into long term contracts which renew automatically. If you do not read the fine print you end up paying years after you end service

As long as you don't have a problem they are OK. When you have problem their service sucks! They never call back, they point fingers at everybody else. I have recommended them before, but will never again.

This company leases its services to phone scam operations in India or Pakistan. These people pretend to be from the IRS and steal money from anyone stupid enough to fall for their schemes. Not a good business model, catering to financial terrorists!!!
