Horrible experience. Manager so unprofessional and apparently she is the sister of the owner. They charge your CC and then call and cancel your appointment and do not refund the CC.

This place is the worst! I would give it a 0 if I could. I booked makeup (which is advertised on their website but they don't even do) and a blow out and paid $105 in advance. They called and let me know they don't do makeup and never refunded me. This was a month ago and I still have not received the money. I cancelled the blow out after reading the reviews and have still not been refunded for that either. I called about six times and even came in. When I came in no one was there and the "manager" I guess was getting her hair washed. After I waited for her she first said I wasn't in the system and then claimed she refunded me the day I canceled. She did not and I had to call my CC company to dispute the charge. Do yourself a favor and book any salon besides this one. Not sure how they are still in business with these reviews.

Made appt online and paid and 45 minutes prior via text was told appointment had to be cancelled bc stylist was “sick”. After reading other reviews obviously that was a lie. I don’t even k is how this place is still in businessService: Blowouts

Honestly I think I’ve booked an appointment here one time and actually gotten the time that I booked. Every other time they will reach out saying it’s not available and then I will have to suggest other days and times that work for them. This last time they told me the entire store was going to be closed during my appt time, due to a stylists family emergency and I had to ask for a different appointment, no offer nothing. Of course they had no other availability that weekend so I asked for a refund (which they agreed to). This was for my booking 11 days ago and have not heard a word. I have called multiple times and emailed corporate. Will I ever get my money back???

I made an appointment on the website which I was told on the phone when they cancelled my appointment 45 mins prior that the website is inaccurate. They canceled my appointment and told me they had a plumbing problem.Also advise me that Appointments must be booked at least 1 week out.Don’t book if you really need a blowout because as others have also said it’s not reliable.

Had an appointment, and when arrived told the appointment never went through the system. During this discussion the staff member was speaking to me in a hostile tone , like I was a bother to her. At that point I was told I had No appointment she turned on her heels and simply walked away. Great customer service! I wasn’t rude or yelling at her, so not exactly sure what the deal is here.

I had a hauntingly similar and terrible experience as the previous reviewer had with this salon. I wish I had read her review before I booked! A few hours before my appointment, I was contacted via text that the appointment I booked was no longer available. I rescheduled for the actual day of my birthday. While pulling up to park for my appointment, I received a text that the stylist was running 40 minutes late. Since it's my birthday, I have other plans and couldn't sit around waiting, especially since they already canceled me once. I asked for a refund. They refused to issue me a refund stating that I CANCELLED!!!! Furthermore, I was told that an additional $30 charge would be issued because of the cancellation. When I expressed my frustration (respectfully) stating that I would refute the charge and contact the Better Business Bureau as well as give negative reviews, the person who texted called me a "child." I'm amazed this place manages to stay in business treating customers this way.

I was skeptical because so few salons in the area work with curly hair and non white clientele. However, I was pleasantly surprised- in and out in 30 minutes. Scheduling process needs improvement. Bathroom dirty.

Told my stylist exactly what I wanted and the final product was terrible— I could have easily done that myself. Did not even bother to use hot tools or ask if I wanted them when they were included in my appointment. Not welcoming. Would not go there again.Service: Hairstyling

They changed my appt 2 hours before ! Claimed they texted me the day before and they did not . Had an important event to go to and they would not take me after they changed my appt time . Claimed it was a glitch in the system . Did nothing to accommodate me . They were rude !!! No customers even in the store . Place was empty ! I have never been treated to unprofessionally my whole life .

I made an appt for Saturday at 2 pm. I called in person and they person who answered said I had to book online. SO I DID . I had a very important event the next day so I needed a blow out. I booked on a Thursday and got a confirmation the next day. On the day of my appt I received a text a few hours before saying my appt was now at 1 instead of 2. I called to check and the person I spoke to who I believe is the manager said there was a glitch in their online booking system. and i could NOT come at 2. She said they texted me the day before. I DID NOY RECEIVE A TEXT. I explained that I had other appts and a lot of errands to run in 95 degree heat and made my appt at 2 so it would be the last thing I had to do. She responded that the stylist only has two hands. I tried my very best to make it for 1 because it was my only option. I was seven minutes late and they refused to treat me. Might I mention there was only one stylist and one manager in the store with NO CUSTOMERS!!! She was rude and unprofessional and did not give me any options or try and accommodate me for the error they made. I was literally begging her to help me because at that time on a Saturday i could not find another place. She then asked me to leave the store!!! I have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally. Luckily the kind and professional stylists at Highlights Hair Salon in Hazlet said to come on in and we will help you!!! How do you have an online booking system that does not work properly. Where is customer service??

Amazingly friendly staff and efficient. Very engaged in their clientele. They work to make the customer satisfied and serve you to the highest degree possible. Highly recommend!!
