my mom stayed here and did not have good things to say about this place. the nurses would tell her they would check on her and would never come back until she would get out of bed and call for a nurse. the emergency button was pushed and they told her a nurse was on the way through the intercom and they never came. so unfortunate.

Stay away from this hospital, especially from their hospitalists for treatment. Hospitalists from Teams Health at this facility are butchers with poor medical acumen/knowledge; not doctors. They have zero medical ethics, lack experience, in violation of their medical oath, and are serving as puppets dancing to the tunes of their management versus treating a patient. From day 1, they all focus on discharge plans versus treatment, and how to clear a bed fast enough so the hospital can make more money. indeed sad.... Say no to being a patient under Drs. Chaudhry, Ahmad, and IM- all from Teams Health. My loved one was a victim of these so called unprofessional doctors.

This has to be the most disrespectful hospital ever. I went to see my friend yesterday and they said it was only family which is totally fine. next day I lied and said I was her sister obviously because I haven't seen her or talked to her in days. they finally caught on and instead of nicely addressing me about it, a tall blonde lady was being absolutely disrespectful with the worst attitude. I am 17 years old for reference. i understand i am not aloud to lie about things which I understand so i kindly apologized. They demanded I get 10 minutes with my friend while she rolled her eyes which is fine. as I walk in, all the staff think it's appropriate to stand in a circle and talk shit about a 17 year old girl instead of doing their job right in front of my face. not to mention, my friends mom is frustrated because they won't give her a definite answer about what's going on with her daughter. it's been days and she has no idea what's going on. Absolutely ridiculous.

I seen a lot of bad reviews for this hospital and they couldn't have been more wrong. My mom went in for a catheter procedure and was treated courteously and respectful the whole way through. The nurses and admin's were extremely nice and helped out with any questions. Beautiful hospital is right on the river with relaxing views that puts your mind at ease. I'd would want to be treated here for sure.

The worst hospital imaginable (but with some shining star nurses). Avoid at all costs.

Perhaps the WORST hospital in NJ. My sister was transported to the Riverside ER with excruciating back pain, unable to walk. The "treatment" that she received was pain meds. NO MRI, NO CT-Scan, etc to determine the cause of the pain & inability to walk. They put a wrist band on her indicating a fall risk. I spoke to a nurse that afternoon who asked when I was coming to get her because "they needed the bed". I asked why she was being released when she can't walk, is a fall risk, and has no one at home to provide care. Her response was "we don't admit patients for back pain". I told her that I would be there in about 2 hours, as I was in the process of getting my sister moved to a new apartment. Next thing I heard, they stuck her in a cab and just sent her home. NO medical care, NO concern for her well-being or her risk of further injury. Just "we need the bed because we're sort of busy". I would URGE the State of New Jersey Department of Health conduct a thorough investigation into Riverview's "medical" practices to ensure that this never happens to another patient.

Today Riverview Hospital was about to release my mom to a subpar sub-acute rehab after being in Riverview for a week with multiple fractured vertebrae. Today they also realized her wrist had an acute fracture. Took them a week to figure that out. And, as a side note, the person in charge of getting my mom into a sub-acute rehab facility was "too busy" to find a decent one. She was rude, lazy, dismissive, yelled at me, and left the room. It was obvious she didn't care at all about her patient. She admitted she never set foot in any of the available rehabs, yet this is her job. She admitted where my mom was going had bad food, not the best staff- but had good PT. The woman's initials are JP and she should be fired for an awful work ethic, along with sending a patient to a known subpar rehab that is attached to a nursing home with dying people. So, my mom, due to an employee of HM who is unwilling to do the right thing, will be going to rehab/nursing home where her dad, my grandfather, died. This is upsetting. The physical abuse my 80 year old mom endured at the hospital with a undiagnosed broken wrist for a week, along with the emotional abuse ahead of her sickens me.
