February 2024 by Brenda C.
Since 2020, when they first opened their doors, everyone was excited. They have one in Little Silver, and finally, when they opened their Red Bank location, locals were overjoyed, especially when it was during the height of the pandemic. The team at Sickles more than stepped up to the plate, streamlined the process of allowing us to order online, and then to pay ahead of time, and were able to pick it up later in the day via drive-through. The employees were fast and efficient, keeping direct contact to a minimum. Everyone appreciated their wonderful service. Unfortunately, as time continued, due to the economy, the owners have decided to close their doors as of Thursday, February 15th, one day after Valentine's Day. My heart was breaking as they had always had excellent service, and the place was well stocked. I always purchased my charcuterie from there. The only good note is that Booskerdoo is still open inside that building and we can still shop at Sickles at their Little Silver location.

I ordered a prosciutto and mozzarella hero. A bit pricey at $18 Very good, felt at that price they could have used a better roll, believe it was a semolina roll. Good amount of meat, not sure what they used for fresh mozzarella: probably out of the package cheese.

It’s unfortunate that I am writing this review but feel the need to let other people know. While Sickles food was good, they forgot to include the gravy for the brisket I picked up. So while having friends over for a holiday dinner and in the middle of cooking everything, we realized the gravy was not included and the brisket would be inedible without it. I had to leave my guests, stop cooking and run back out to pick up the gravy at 5:30pm. Super inconvenient and very frustrating. The catering manager called me the next day to apologize but wasn’t willing to provide any sort of refund. I wasn’t asking to refund the entire order (spent over $130), but looking for a $10-$20 refund for the inconvenience and since they were the ones to forget the gravy. The manager said absolutely no refund would be given. I order food from Sickles several times a year, and I’m so disappointed that they are not willing to make this right and provide some sort of refund or credit for their mistake. I would recommend looking at other places for your catering needs because if a problem arises, they will not be helpful.

Feels like they’re doing hot food against their will. Weird system and a dude doing his own thing taking orders. I’ve been going here for a while and it seems it takes longer every time no matter what I order. Nice ambiance, but they have to figure out the customer service part of running a business.

Feels like they're doing prepared food against their will. Weird system and a dude doing his own thing taking orders. I've been going here for a while and it seems it takes longer every time no matter what I order. Food is also hit or miss. Nice ambiance, but they have to figure out the customer service part of running a business. Be prepared to wait! Ironic since it's in front of a train station.

I love the food at Sickles. Everything is excellent quality, from the food, to the service, to the packaging when ordering out. Top notch. The Market is beautiful as well when you prefer to eat at the Market instead of take out.

This is absolutely insane packaging for a breakfast sandwich. When most businesses are trying to lower their carbon footprint, Sickles packages a sandwich in a large plastic container. Absolutely wasteful considering most of these probably end up in the trash of Red Bank offices. How about deli paper like everywhere else? The food, grocery and deli selection at Sickles is great, but I will not be ordering take out until they fix this.

Sickles market was a recommendation from a friend. They said they do nice salads and other preparations. We ordered catering and it did the trick. The chicken bites were my jam. The mac and cheese was very creamy rather than cheesy. The salads all had way too many onions in them. The steak sliders with horseradish sauce were probably the best thing we had. Place was expensive but you can see they care. The person who helped me order was very nice. Solid all around.

Sickle's Market in Red Bank has the best quality food in the area. The Bites menu is great for lunch or dinner. Can also get meats and produce. Service is always upbeat and helpful, very knowledgeable. Parking is easy at this location as well. Which is hard to come by in Red Bank.

Quite possibly one of the best family run and operated specialty grocery stores I have ever been to. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products and my mother will kill me for saying this but their chicken and beef chili's are the best I've ever tasted. FYI...my mother is a native Texan so she certainly knows a thing or two about chili. A bit pricey but the quality is second to none and quite honestly you get what you pay for. So happy I live in Red Bank and have such an amazing store like this just minutes away. If you're in the area...get here quick! You'll be happy you did.

Ordered a turkey avo — asked for no avo but everything else. Received a literal PLAIN turkey sandwich without even the lettuce!? It’s not even on the right bread. $15 wasted. First and last time ever shopping here

We ordered DoorDash for lunch and it was delivered quickly...and correctly! With a big office there are bound to be mistakes etc....The menu selections are incredible. I could have ordered everything. The value and variety for what they offer is spot on. I decided on the Spicy Chicken Salad and OH MY YUM!!!The chicken was perfectly seasoned and grilled. The salad was very fresh and the combination of poblano peppers with tortilla strips AND cornbread croutons...just WOW! The flavors were amazing between spicy and sweet. But the dressing finished it off nicely...a fresh, homemade Southwest dressing. The salad is delish. Take a look at the picture. We will definitely be ordering here again. Thank you from Sunrise of Shrewsbury, your new lunchtime fans : )

We go every day love their green juice my husband loves their avocado toast. My only complaint is the workers are not friendly they all seem miserable so it ruins the vibe in there. Good music always playing though
