“My brakes stopped working completely on the highway. I almost crashed! I needed immediate repair and they were right on it. Only frustration was when I asked them to call a home phone not cell since I was going up into the Catskill Mts with no cellular service. There's no Internet either! I asked them to call to tell me the price before doing any work. I had to call to find out what was going on. Then AGAIN I called 10 minutes before they were closing. They never called me with any information about my car!!!! David said he called the cell. I told him all about not having service up in the mountains and to call the home phone! He said he emailed which I mentioned there was no Internet service too! So he had called the cell!!!!???? He said it went straight to voicemail so why didn't you call the next number that was the home phone then? Hence, with this lack of communication, they performed additional work on my car without consulting me first!!!! I didn't want to spend much fixing everything in a 22 year old car when I'm getting a new car in just 2 months! I just needed to get home from NJ to NY. Otherwise, I found the price reasonable considering the additional work and Gary the owner gave me a break with the labor charge. He was very nice and got my car repaired quickly. Very happy with what could have turned into having to stay in NJ somewhere waiting for my car. “Joe Guarino Auto Repair comes highly recommended for all your automobile mechanical needs from the little maintenance things such as oil changes to the big jobs! I have been on the market for a new mechanic for a long time. My car broke down and was towed by AAA. I found Joe Guarino's as an approved shop on the AAA site. Their reviews were absolutely impeccable and there were so many people that took the time to review them! None of the other shops had many reviews and if they did have a few reviews, they weren't that great. Joe's shop really stood out! It was nice that I was able to schedule an appointment online over the weekend in the late evening and I promptly received a call back from Rich in the office, who is just wonderful! They are very honest and fair. They could have taken advantage of the situation being my car had to be towed there. We suspected the problem was much bigger than it was and they assured me that it was something minor and I didn't even have to pay a ton of money. It was very affordable. They are "woman" friendly and still take the time to explain everything to you in lay-person's terms to where you can understand. They do not dismiss you or talk to you like you're "just a woman"! They look over everything and assess your vehicle for any and all issues and breakdown what is priority as well as what is not priority to fix. They even take the time to explain proper maintenance items and at what intervals they are suggested to be performed. They take the time to ask you questions about all repairs you have had done so they can put it into their system and get to know your car's history. This helps to asses things as they come up and gives them a holistic full picture which helps for future accuracy in diagnostics. I have never seen (in my 52 years) any mechanic take the time to do this. It's exceptional! That also take time to break down the bill and itemization for you so that you know what you are paying for. The gentlemen (owner and office manager) there are so very pleasant (Joe and Rich) and just so personable. You will never find another mechanic shop quite like this one! I promise!”

“Great, solid work. Highly recommended. Sam is great, outstanding customer service. These guys do honest work for great prices, they don't try to rip you off. Recently got work done and was quoted $200 less than my normal mechanic quoted me. And they proceeded to deliver a great job as well. Will likely be using them as my regular mechanic now.The only thing I will mention is that when I picked up my car, there seemed to be some grease/oil stains left on the tires, tire rims, and on a small portion of the hood that I had to clean. Likely just from when they were doing the repair. Not a huge deal, just something for them to keep a lookout for. Overall 5 stars though, really liked this place.”

Early in the day I was told by a Goodyear tire store that I needed to replace the tire and being annoyed I went for a second opinion to Eddie and Yoli and Eddie informed me that the tire did not have a hole in it and that no repair was needed. He charged me a small fee to put the tire back on but overall very happy with the experience and I recommend them highly!!”

“My experience with Tire &Wheel Performance has been excellent. They took care of a flat for me, then hooked me up when I came back with the low tire pressure light still on. Apparently I ran over another nail, they plugged it and filled the tire. They are fast, friendly, professional, and honest. I highly recommend this company!”

Mike has always taken care of me and this time Hussain has taken care of me by tracking down some tires for me. “I had a flat tire and the local guy from Roadside Assistance recommended Omar. I knew all four tires were on their final miles so I was ready to replace all four. Omar kindly went over the various tire alternatives and compared the pricing and ratings of the various tires available on Tire Rack (which really is the lowest out there). He then compared it to the pricing of the local vendors and showed there wasn't a notable difference. Needing to get done immediately, I opted for the local vendor. The whole job from the minute I walked in the door, ordering the tires and installing took two hours. They did a fantastic job! Honest guys!”
