“I called this place around late September 2025 and I spoke with John just too get information on the process and he was very helpful in explaining everything. Easy to understand and talk too few days later i call John and tell him I want too apply for a premises gun license he helped me every step of the way always pleasant too talk too if he was busy with a customer and I left a voicemail he would call back i can’t say enough of the good experience I had with John all the paperwork was done by October 2025 everything was completed and today may 2026 i was approved and am going too finish by purchasing a had gun which John has walked me threw that process if your thinking about where to get help this is the place john is great thank you John”

Doesn’t seem like you were willing to offer it because you decided I’m a democrat (?). Could’ve just said that. Not my fault other stores didn’t educate me. Again, if my lack of knowledge was such an inconvenience, maybe just have a sign saying that unlike your competitors, you’re not willing to help beginners figure things out. That way we don’t bother you. Thanks again for what little advice you did offer. Wishing you the best and updating my review to 5 stars because you seem mentally unstable (given how you’re talking to customers online), and I don’t want any trouble.

I’ve been getting into the hobby and trying out different stores in the area, prioritizing the small businesses. I was really excited for Mike’s Gun Shop, especially given the amazing reviews.
What a disappointment when I showed up in person and was made to feel like an absolute inconvenience for having the audacity to need help figuring out what I needed to purchase.
Not sure what I did to upset them within 2s of walking. Anyways- that was my experience. Maybe I caught him on a bad day but I shouldn’t be on the receiving end of that.
Will stick to Bergen Sporting Goods, Louie Gs, and Longshot.”

“I JUST completed my NYC conceal carry course at Seneca Sporting Range. I wasnt expecting it to be as fun and informative as it was. Alex was a fantastic instructor that took his time teaching and answering questions. John the owner is a character. You wont meet many people like him anymore. He's a throwback to my childhood. He's great and has a wealth of knowledge to offer anyone smart enough to pick his brain. The range has places to relax and the alleys are spacious, well lit and ventilated. The annual fee is super reasonable.”
