The Ridgewood YMCA offers an excellent and amazing Parkinson's program. The program is described as the best, incredible, and terrific, addressing many different angles of the disease. It includes multiple classes such as The Art of Big, Pilates for Parkinson’s, YMBig (You Move Big), and a Box Out boxing class. These dynamic classes are fun, challenging, effective, and geared for various ages and abilities, encouraging participants to work at their own pace. The instructors are very supportive, knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and passionate. They are patient, understanding, motivating, and positive, bringing inspirational energy to each session. The classes help improve movement, balance, flexibility, mobility, and confidence physically and mentally. They create a great atmosphere and a wonderful, positive community of friends facing similar challenges. Many participants find the classes so beneficial they can replace physical therapy. The Ridgewood YMCA has developed a truly impressive program that the Parkinson’s community is lucky to have.

I’ve observed the Parkinson’s Program at the Y. Simona does an awesome job as an instructor. The program is one of the few in the states. I recommend her to anyone. Simona and the Ridgewood YMCA are to be commended. I give it a 10 star rating!-Tom D.
