The store was great at one time but has gone downhill in recent years. The stocking is slow and inefficient, the staff aren't that friendly as they used to be when the first opened and the pharmacy is understaffed. I used to enjoy going to the store but it is not as fun as it used to be 10 years ago.

I had a bad experience with this River edge store. First, I tried to schedule a Covid shot with CVS APP, it showed it experienced issue and it couldn’t schedule it. Then I had to call service center to schedule it, they offered me a scheduled appointment at this location, when I showed up, they informed me I was not on schedule, then I asked if I can do it now, they refused it. They claimed they could run out of stock of vaccines and I asked for an appointment next morning. The pharmacist told me he scheduled for me next morning at 10:15 . When I got home I checked if I got any notification or not, as I suspected the pharmacist tried to screw me. As it turned out my schedule never shows up from my CVS APP or any communication. This River Edge location has bad service, hence it is not recommended and you should avoid it. Try other locations or move to a different pharmacy if you can. I will move to COSTCO since I am a member of Costco already.

I enjoy going to this CVS the employees are friendly helpful and respectful the store is very clean as well

Go elsewhere, came in on Saturday at 1 PM to pickup 2 prescriptions for my son, they were done on Sunday 10:15 AM. Worst experience ever! They just simply don’t care anymore

I went in to get a item I discovered that I was charged twice for an transaction that at first was declined but I still being charged for it and second ever since I had to switch to CVS for my prescriptions it has been a total nightmare

The manager watching the phone all the time. I know he plays stock. He check the stock all the time and typing message. It’s very bad. He may make mistake.

I have had great experiences with the young men in this store. They ask if they can help find something and know their stock! They are always polite at the cash register too. I have shopped in this store for years but these young men are the best.

@8pm Thursday, pharmacy working 2 people and waiting 10 customers. Just dropped the prescription, and it took 25 mins. And to pick up and pay another 30 min. I usually love CVS @Fair Lawn 24hrs. Always not in stock but never call for pickup medicine. This location needs new management.

What is happening to this place? I've been using the River Edge location for over 20 years - The pharmacy service used to be amazing, now, in the past year or so, you cant get a hold of a pharmacist when calling (most recent call was on hold for 17 minutes before someone picked up) - when scrips are called in or dropped off it takes an act of god to get it filled in a timely manner even though there are sometimes 9-11 people behind the pharmacy counter - and when standing in line, the customer is ignored, they make believe they don't see the customer or the line! One of the girls there told me my daughters script wasn't ready and I would have to speak w/ another staffer - and that staffer said she had no idea why I was told it wasn't ready - because it was (it was called in 2 hrs prior for a simple antibiotic) Is this a sign of the times or is it just this store? Seriously thinking about changing pharmacies. Absolutely awful service.

Let’s. Put it this way 6 pm on a Monday there was no one at the registers. Line long as hell.. workers are lazy.. pharmacy is good. But the other employees are terrible.

My parents had the worst experience at this cvs pharmacy. The guy was very rude and even when they told them they wanted booster shot and not the flu shot, the guy still gave them flu shot instead! She was so upset and told him and he just shrugged it off and gave her booster after. Unbelievable. So unprofessional. She said it was the most painful shot she's ever gotten. Please avoid this cvs!
