There is a very big rock of staff at JCPenney's. And the stuff that you have barely speaking no offense but if you're working in retail and I have to deal with customers I feel like you should definitely speak the counter language

Went to this store to buy a bunch of clothes for a trip. I went to use my Penney’s card but was declined because I haven’t used it for a few years and the account was closed. Card always in good standing never carrying a balance and paid in full. Lady behind counter said it’s an easy process to reinstate card let me make a phone call. I said I’ll go to customer service because other people on line. OH NO sir easy process she said. Well after getting passed around on the phone and being told an account cannot be reinstated you have to apply for a new account, I responded FORGET IT! Customers looking at me. Cashier was wrong! Paid with a major credit card and said never again. Thankful for online buying which is where I do most of my clothes buying now.

I would not recommend JCPenny's Portrait Studio at Rockaway. The manager, Alice, is not only an inexperienced photographer but also has poor customer service skills.

In terms of the layout, JCPenney looks to be in great shape and well-recovered and is not closing anytime soon. Each department is easy to find and had no issues navigating where to go. Nowadays and in most retail stores, there aren't too many employees to be found on the sales floor, which can be time-consuming in many ways. As long as the store is clean, that's one of the main things that matters. It seems there needs to be improvement in a lot of areas, with the other reviews I've read.
