I went by over the summer for some river rock and spent the day washing the rocks one at a time to get them clean due to the amount of mud and dirt that I got with them. Then today I stopped by for bulk rock salt and the salt was soaked wet and would constantly clog my spreader, I had got loaded from under the enclosed salt storage. When I called the office to express my concerns the best I got was “we will take a look at it” as a contractor I get payed by the job and as I do enjoy the staff over at metro the supply is definitely lacking. If you are a contractor looking for quality supplies look elsewhere.

I have mixed experience. the river rocks are not size properly and was not washed. The river rocks were covered in mud, so i was buying 25% mud. 3/4 white is as expected.

Mulch was totally full of gravel and rocks, looked horrible. At the beginning of the pandemic I ordered 12 yards of cedar mulch from Metro. As soon as I dug into the pile, I saw it was completely full of gravel and rocks. It was mixed in to the entire load of mulch, not just a little bit in one spot. I contacted the office and the next morning someone (the owner? don't know, he didn't introduce himself) stopped by and said that they would take care of me. I never heard back from them again. As it aged and the color of the cedar lightened, it looked really terrible with the gravel mixed in. Very disappointing.

Frank was amazing to work with! He was so helpful and communicative. There were delays in getting the specific gravel I needed, as there are with so many products these days, but his great communication made such a difference. He answered my endless questions and was always so friendly! Will definitely use them the next time I need to order stone and gravel. Thanks!!

So I ordered 1-3" river stone from them. As a word of caution and advice, go look at it before you buy it. Their sizing is different than other yards. I'm assuming this is a common issue among wholesale suppliers. Their 1-3" varies a lot. So go and look. Their 1" stone is what I initially needed. When I expressed my concern over what I got, Ophelia, the owner, did right by me even though it was really my mistake for not looking prior to ordering. She offered me a yard of 1" free of charge but I had to pick it up. I rented a truck, and my conscience got the better of me and I offered to split it with her. I paid her half of what the yard costs as I feel there was some responsibility I had to own. The fact that she was willing to give me the yard for free speaks volumes. They're a great yard, with great people and excellent service. In all honesty she didn't even have to do what she did but still did it. That says integrity and customer care all day to me. I will be using Metro Supply whenever possible and will recommend them to others as well. And thank you so much Ophelia!

Buyer Beware!! Do not buy stone from Metro Supply. They have changed their supplier and use deceptive selling practices. What you see on their display is not what you get. I had purchased 1-3” river rock from them a couple years back and needed to buy move to add on to my bed. Went to their location and confirmed via display the same stone size and then I was delivered rocks larger than my hand and almost as large as my size 10 show. (See pictures showing correct 1-3” in first picture and Metro Supply version in next 2 pictures....huge). They try and tell me that this is now the new sizing for 1-3” River rock. So 8” x 4” rocks fit is a 1-3” range. Absolutely hysterical. I had 2 landscape contractors see this and they burst out laughing saying this is bad and can’t believe Metro Supply wouldn’t make it right and take it back. They don’t stand by their display or products. Look anywhere online and you will see what the correct sizing is. Also, the product is full of mud and some crushed stone. Very sad what this place has become. I recommend you do your research and find another supplier if you are looking for correct River rock sizing
